  1. Visiting family in Vancouver BC soon. My aunt recently retired and built a home in Blaine, WA. We’re all naturalized citizens. And now my parents don’t want to cross the border right now. What a world. I don’t have fast pass, border crossing should be a breeze with it being a ghost town right? 😂
  2. Who knew my future vacation plans to Europe and Asia may include historical sites, museums, and medical visits.
  3. this winning… let’s keep doing it
  4. That’s an awfully rosy outlook of what the blue states are though.
  5. It’s nice seeing this
  6. Maybe it’s because of the current environment we’re in… but the scout’s line of, “it’s nice to be nice” and the subsequent interactions really got me.
  7. Hahaha classic Peggy.
  8. Tonight would be a greaaaaat time to start
  9. There is a spectrum of selfishness and lack of caring that is bordering pathological for a lot of our citizens these days. And no… the ability to cut a 25k check to his local charity is not the only way to show you care about your community either. Which is the excuse a Trumpy-adjacent friend gives me.
  10. I enjoyed it, and echo what many others have said that the retro future aesthetic is one of the biggest appeals. The suspension of disbelief didn’t bug me… the pacing did though. Just never really had a beat to process anything in the story.
  11. For all the excitement after the trades, this team in this series is just so feckless when it matters.
  12. Sad trombone… better luck tomorrow
  13. Sadly… more and more people who identify as libertarian in reality and in practice just means they have a high tolerance of authoritarianism to me.
  14. I mean I try to assume positive with nearly everyone here, but it's interesting that even if you're apathetic about CPB or don't believe in their purpose, you choose to mock/troll.
  15. Ah, good point on Mathews. And umm, er I don't think you quite understood the point of my comment there. I'm not calling for his head if these trades don't work out.
  16. Wow, you really think it has that much riding on it? We haven't even really seen any of his draft picks really develop into MLB talent for that being his calling card. Not that he's really been in the role long enough.
  17. I love Broadway and I love most of Linklater’s work, so…sold.
  18. What? Mos burgers don’t do it for you? 😄 Man, I that chain is so..so… plain.
  19. Gasp! No way. Surely it's some proprietary Gronk-created proprietary sauce, good sir.
  20. I think it's more cause it started out in Houston? But I get the sentiment though.
  21. I have a very, very special place in my heart for Shipley. It was one of the first places a departed uncle took me to when I first immigrated to Houston and tried for the first time a fresh-glazed donut. A donut of any kind! And to this day, a Shipley fresh-glazed is my all-time favorite. They remain a guilty pleasure and something I'll occasionally grab a dozen of when I visit family.
