  2. We're a resilient bunch, Texans help each other and all, but yeah...
  3. Hoping they won’t but all signs seems like they will.
  4. Also saw on LinkedIn one of my profs, in grad school, Dr. Markman, got let go of his administrative responsibilities due to ideological differences. Not sure if he's leaving UT completely. Fucking hell, he's a great professor and really accomplished in his field too.
  5. Makes that softball piece they wrote on him in The Alcalde even more laughable about how much he appreciated his education at UT and learning from different perspectives, blah blah blah.
  6. So bummed, the trip fell apart last minute. Sorry to have missed you and others TxEx84!
  7. I don't think Tim likes Trump, but as an employee... it has been grossly disappointing (but also grateful to have a job) to see him kowtow so easily.
  8. 6-0 feels like 14-0 with this offensive line.
  9. Aww… great actress.
  10. Will his Nobel Peace Prize come out of a Cracker Jack Box?
  11. So disappointing. Screw going to games. I’m gonna travel rest of this football season
  12. I hope this is a set up for an amazing come back
  13. Slow and sloppy… yeesh
  14. Some strong hall monitor energy here all of a sudden.
  15. Maybe I'm misunderstanding. So on one hand, I get your sentiment. But it is amusing to me that conservatives/Repubs try to act with some moral grounds and frame it as team vs principles on this, especially in our current political climate. What Newsom is doing is the same crap Trump is doing. But contextually, it's to counter Trump to preserve the principles in higher education in my opinion. Does the ends justify the means? <shrug> Yes...
  16. As typical with this administration. Identify legit issues but take the most corrupt methods to solving them.
  17. There’s a chance you could be wrong. Only way to tell is you look deep into their eyes and look into their souls.
  18. Sadly yes. What a shameful moment for this institution.
  19. I'm right there with you. Believe me, there's def some compartmentalizing when I cheer on some of my teams these days.
  20. Overall, I agree with your sentiments. My only minor quibble is that there's a long tangled history of sports and politics in this country and elsewhere.
