  1. It’s actually a popular choice for all-around purposes but can also handle espresso.
  2. https://clivecoffee.com/products/baratza-encore-esp-espresso-grinder?_pos=2&_fid=3351de882&_ss=c?ref=grinders
  3. It's been a few year now but I think it was around 1,300 to 1,500. So your quote seems really reasonable!
  4. I'm still slightly bitter about how much $$$ I had to pay to have one removed at my old home, because it developed a crack and I was trying to do the right thing and not have it fall on my neighbors.
  5. Time for a Mash rewatch.
  6. My espresso game is still pretty inconsistent... so going to a dual boiler for now doesn't make sense. As lustworthy as it would be to eventually graduate to one. 😅
  7. That’s certainly an opinion on an accomplished director… if anything I don’t think he took himself very seriously at all. Heck, if anything I wish it was less comedic overall. But I never read the book it was based on, so not sure how much of the adaptation is true to the novel or what.
  8. Seeing stories/photos like that hurts my soul.
  9. Brewing and understanding coffee went from my pandemic hobby into well a full blown lifestyle/obsession now. I have just about every brewer out there now except a moka pot and aeropress. Pour over is my favorite style and these days it’s a Hario Switch that’s my daily driver. But the moccamaster for when it’s too early in the morning or I want a large batch of coffee.
  10. Solid B rating for me right now, but it’s starting to build on the intrigue with the bot and world.
  11. Well… this got interesting in a bad way
  12. When our electric bills shoot way up and water is being rationed, people will learn plenty quick. But that's our brand here, we have to suffer before policy catches up.
  13. Good Christian (I bet) that owns his vote. From the article: “Adam Squires, a onetime candidate for mayor of Kennett, saw it differently. He did not bear any ill will for Ms. Hui, he said, but he voted for Mr. Trump, as did 80 percent of voters in Dunklin County, and he was glad to see the deportation campaign reach home. “They vote for Trump, and then they get mad because the stuff starts happening,” he said of his neighbors. “We’ve got to get rid of all the illegals. This is just a start.”
  14. Ouch. With that said… I can empathize with As fan. I was on the BART going home from SF for the perfect game. And heard some drunk Giants fan say something like, “I don’t know if it was that impressive, Astros are not a major league team.”
  15. I look forward to the Tik Toks of Taco Man sung to Macho Man.
  16. Pouring in my neck of Leander but thankfully no hail.
  17. I can’t believe someone typed Technoking without trying to be funny.
  18. There is a place for AI in our lives... but boy is it gonna be messy while society figures out how to best use it.
  19. Oh, for sure. It is fascinating that so far, the majority of the TV shows are pretty darn good, but the movies have had a harder time finding pop culture success.
  20. Love me a good Dutch crunch sandwich. Boy, I gained some weight that first three months when I discovered that was a thing.
  21. Yeesh, sounds like Fountain of Youth is simply there to pad the content library.
  22. Yeah…for me I enjoy S2 more than S1 because it weaved a larger story from multiple viewpoints which appealed to me. So yeah… the seemingly backhanded compliment (my assumption) description of it as “people lapping up season 2 because it managed to live up to expectations” is really off for me. After watching the last episode and then rolling into R1. This has prompted me again to visit all the SW films. Warts and all, it’s just such a fun playground of stories.
