  1. I mean, I'm a lawyer in Texas, but . . .
  2. Fuckin' A. I'm reading the pregame half of this like Goodfellas with Hen(d)ry driving around seeing helicopters, making sure his brother, Mikey, stirred the sauce and bitching at fucking Lois for needing her lucky hat she wouldn't fly without. Dude, you are a true champion of organization. I'm sad to read that this one probably did you in. I'm particularly sad that my friends I've got coming in from all over the country for the Vandy game apparently won't get to experience a Surly tailgate? But I get it. It's obviously a shit-ton of work and you're handling it without a lot of consistent support, and it sounds like you lost a bit of your ass on this one unfortunately. In the years to come, I was hoping to offer up a few weekends of tailgate support with manual labor, cooking, setup, general shit (although sadly, this year was not in the cards for me). In any event, thanks for all you have done and all you may do in the future. Hook 'em!
  3. Also, at the end of the day, you threw a sick party.
  4. Hit up a tip on the tailgate. Even if you're watching from a UT Water Ski Tournament. Just saying. Help a brother out.
  5. "Inconvenience for you. I'm sorry."
  6. Honestly, since the schools hand out Chromebooks to the kids now, I can see some parents not bothering. Now, my kids were given computers long before college admissions acceptance time, but my wife and I are some of the world's best parents, so . . .
  7. Oh, wow. I went to high school with Lisa (and college too apparently). She's a pretty smart person. Probably should have bought her daughter a computer though or been a little more hands-on about college admissions. The Sid Miller connection sure tracks with politics and strange bed-fellows axiom.
  8. I'll be at a UT Water Ski Tournament watching on my phone. TEXAS!!!
  9. Of all the things that should have ended years ago, The Simpsons is among the things that bothers me the least. Bring it on. There is a lot of suck in the world. I'm willing to bet this will be decent.
  10. Alright. Shame on all of you who won't buy immamac a sex tent or a shitty motel. The dude is doing all of this for you. Get busy! Get my man the Rain Man Suite! Go donate $20. You got $20. Stop arguing in the cloak room for 1 minute and tip my man like he just gave you the most mediocre lap dance ever. Shiat! https://www.surlyhorns.com/board/tailgate
  11. I'll kick in $20 to the tailgate fund again if that will help. Just hit a like on this post if that would be helpful. and I'll do my best to shame others.
  12. That's more than two words, but yeah.
  13. Two words: sex tent.
  14. I went twelve years after losing Maggie the Golden to cancer at age 7. Since 2013, we have had four dogs (King passed in 2020; he was an old fellow when we adopted him). Gracie will turn 13 in January (pictured plenty in previous posts) Maeby is 6 (as of March). Archie turns 2 in late November. I don't know how I went 12 years without a dog.
  15. I got one in the ER a couple of months ago after ripping the ball of my foot open on a nail that had worked its way out of one of our deck boards. I usually don't walk around barefoot out there, but one of the dogs had taken something out into the yard for me to retrieve, and it was dark, and I'm dumb like that sometimes.
  16. Mind the step children. Mind the step-children.
  17. I don't have time to read all of this, but let me know if I've missed something: the weiners have wood?
  18. I think they announced they had one around that time. What's weird, is I remember, early on before they released the vaccines, that it generally was considered a good thing. And some time between around that October and early January 2021, the social media bots changed the perception for a large swath of part of the population, which wasn't already anti-vax generally, and, well, here we are.
  19. I read that several times trying to figure out how Weird Al Yankovic related to any of this.

    Emotional Rescue, as well.
  21. Some dog-turd looking pretzels, which are delicious, beer cheese, and beer brats. The onions cooked down in the tall boy of Coors Banquet beer are the chef's kiss.
  22. The Roxy Videos are great as are the uncut, seven Roxy perormances from which they emerged. The fact that these are the outtakes says a lot. Dickie's Such and Asshole is great and, sadly, timeless
  23. Ah, Gene Hackman. He did play a good scoundrel.
