7 points against OSU

13 points vs. OU

10 points vs. GA

He shouldn't hire an OC so he can focus on being a HC. He should hire an OC because his offense is flat out bad and fucking pathetic against quality opponents.

I think it’s delusional fans’ who have a problem accepting Sark will never get over the hump and head coach a team competing for an MNC. No matter the money, the coaches or the talent. No matter the school. He ain’t never climbing to that peak as a HC. It’s pretty obvious.

My brother in Christ this is year 5 of sark. And without Nibblet we are struggling to make a fucking bowl game.

apparently his offense doesnt work when he doesnt have 3-4 1st rounder WR, 1st round QB, several 1st rounder in OL, 1st rounder in RB and NFL talent at TE

If this gets forced on him in the offseason I wonder what he would do? Also as soon as something like this is forced on a coach it’s just a bandaid and the wound opened will bleed out and we are looking for a new HC,

That’s funny because Sark’s best skill players were all Herman croots. He was 10x the gameday coach that Sark is. Give him NIL and he would have done just as well or better the last 5 years.

Ah yes, because the majority of his draft picks were Strong recruits. I swear you guys have forgotten how bad Herman was at running the program. He was hated at all levels.

If Sark had said preseason that we weren’t going to win anything everyone would feel a lot better

Last two seasons, the team was bleeding out by a thousand paper cuts, now after this blowout, it's a gaping wound.

Maybe he could take some leadership classes the off season and I can send him a book "How to win friends and influence people". Ill put a note in it that it's okay to talk to your players, coaches and refs during a game.

Or I could invite him to join me and my "girlfriend" for a nice evening dinner on Rainey Street. (😉😘🤫)

That should fix things.

This is what it boils down to. Expecting him to be better here than he was at USC and Washington was silly.

I want a HC like that though. Cuz even though I know it’s HC speak to say things a certain way I cannot be sure if sark is just politicking or genuinely doesn’t know how bad this is (which raises bigger concerns about him.)

Sark has already gone to the playoffs twice. Those of you who seriously want him gone must’ve already forgotten about the Herman and Chuck years.

Maybe he is just not spread thin enough? and he read The Art of The Deal and his only take away was don’t negotiate with terrorists so after  he becomes so deeply mortally offended by the mere suggestion he hire an OC that he threatens to perform all coaching roles himself and fired everybody. Nothing good will come of this demand in all seriousness. He’s like Samson in the Bible and if we make him hire an OC it’s like cutting Samson’s hair. Nothing good. My only suggestion is him in the booth and have a guy we can trust as a co-coach to take care of all shit not related to Offense and situational shit.

well, people shouldn't be gaslit for having expectations when they are driven by the coach. what are we talking about here. you can find easy examples of coaches preaching caution in the preseason and muting expectations, but Sark specifically went the other way, in response to questions about the roster.
this is him at SEC Media Days
"“I think this is a championship roster. Now we’ve got to play like a championship team, but I do think it’s a championship roster,” Sarkisian said."

Maybe he meant a 2a championship.

Texas One Fund wasn't around for Herman and Chuckles to mismanage $30M+ in annual talent.  The script has changed and with that collective, the leash became shorter.

The midseason firings among other programs were timed to retain their talent.  The message is clear that the value of the established 2-deep is greater than the annual HC's compensation.

It kills me that people here keep waving participation ribbons at those of us wanting actual trophies and consistence performance but then will pop into the aggie thread and make fun of them.

We should put Sarks playoff appearances on the wall where they belong.

His talent and other skills got us to a great point. However it’s his pride ego and whatever else the fuck is causing the below look in game will cause us to stagnate and slowly become less relevant. Like 1990’s relevant. Ya know? 90’s Longhorns were thrilling for a year or two but a fucking beating the rest. No consistency marked by three HCs basically. No I don’t want. But unless big changes that Sark likely won’t accept are made we are back rolling the dice.

This is not encouraging. No matter what quips he makes in pressers. Something is fucking wrong.

You guys are severely underestimating the coaching side of things as it pertains to NIL. Herman would not even get close to the type of roster Sark has built through NIL because he’s a narcissistic asshole that fails at every level running a program.

Sark has undoubtedly fumbled this season with the backing and support he was given. But it would be so much worse if Herman was running this program right now. Herman would be awful at roster retention with the culture he creates.

Not for nothing for all Charlie’s ineptitude he had zero support from our administration nor BMDs. Zero. So it makes it all the more glaring when sark is given the red carpet, all the support and resources he needs and more and his talent….and we are back to being middle of the road. Bottom half of desirable P5s

The funniest/worst part is.. it's the Texas way.

Mackovic prior to Texas, mid.

Mack prior to Texas, mid.

Chuckles prior to Texas, mid.

Mensa prior to Texas, less than mid. Go back and look at his losses prior.

Sark prior to Texas, mid.

VY only reason we have a national championship in my life.

Sark’s post game presser:

i just picked a few comments. Seems unable to truly own his failure in the 4th. Put a lot on the defense. Doesn’t appear to be setting up to leave as he mentioned wanting us to play GA again. He said that our culture and player’s hearts are not in question and he has far bigger worries. Not much else, the running comment will always suck bc he’s said it after losses the last 5 years.

well, sark who is in control of calling the plays? Whoooooooo is that?

Sarks passing schemes are fine. His receivers drop too many balls and I suspect that is primarily on the position coach and he needs to deal with that as the head man.

His running schemes and play call sequencing are doghit and that’s all on him.

His overall game management is meadoker.  Generally bad against the upper upper crust.

He’s getting more time but I’m skeptical that this is fixable

Sark is not perfect, but some of y'all are being irrational. The dude has developed more draft picks in his tenure than the entire decade plus prior. He has been to conferences championship games in two separate conferences, and is a bit unlucky to not have won both. He’s won two playoff games against the ACC champ & Big12 champ in consecutive weeks. He has neutralized our rivals for the most part. That being said his program is not physical. His offense lacks violence. He has definitely been burned on some roster management decisions.

Posted

Cross posting from another thread but, we've been outscored 42-0 in the 4th quarter of our last two games.  That's completely effing inexcusable.  Can you imagine Ohio St allowing its coach to give up, say, 21 to Northwestern, then 21 to Michigan in back to back, 4th quarters?

I mean if I get coaches speak and how they sunshine pump. But his saying we ran the ball well if he isn’t sunshine pumping (which insults every person who can read a fucking box score’s intelligence) then he is insanely delusional and there is no fix? I get coach speak but if a QB threw only one pass the entire game and it was completed I would hope he wouldn’t stand up there and say “we passed the ball well.” Thats beyond coach speak that’s a mental disorder 😂

The issue I have with this line of thinking is that it's not 1983.  Sark has advantages that, maybe, 3 or 4 other schools have.  The floor should be the playoffs every year minus some sort of catastrophe like the starting QB getting injured for the year.

As far as the bolded... Yeah, don't think OU, aggy, and Tech (to a lesser extent) are too bothered by the neutralization right now.
