So did the rebellion glean technology from the TIE-Fighter Cassian escaped in, or was it simply the vehicle he found available? Seems like it was cutting edge, given his adjustment time.

It's possible the B-Wing was created based on the technology. Both have a giant laser meant to blow up capital ships. He was there to steal it with the help of the tech who joins the Rebellion.

This is a really awesome coincidence. The show with Diego Luna ends on the same day he was announced 10 years ago as being cast in Rogue One.

That was an Interceptor prototype I think. You don't see them in the OT until Return of the Jedi.

I’m hoping Luthen’s ship survives. Luthen surviving won’t be happening.

But think about it. She probably lives. Of all the people in this, if she survives till the Empire falls, she's freed with everyone else.

The Bix thing was pretty heavily predicted

But I don’t need resolutions for every character - Vel, Kleya, Dedra. I’m fine assuming the first 2 had productive tenures in the rebellion and lived to see the Empire fall

I hope Dedra died before the war ended

Firing up Rogue One now, which I've only seen once when it came out - only remember the Saw stuff and the ending. This is going to be good!

ONLY ONCE?

Damn I watch that movie like 3 times a year

Disney+ is f'ing smart to make that be the next thing it automatically leads you into after the last episode ended. We're watching tomorrow. We had planned it for Friday but I can't wait.

Perrin moved on to Sculdin's wife. Nice. Kinda shocked it all didn't blow back on him but I bet they saw just how slothful and non-threatening he was.

I had to go through a bit of Rogue One after this. It does not seem to be a seamless transition from Andor to R1. Is Jyn Erso onboard as Cassian and K2 take off?

When Cassian finds Jyn, she's on the prison planet, Wobani. He frees her to help find her father. She has to help him get in with Saw Guerra.

There’s no way you could have told me in the mid 2010’s that R1 story would be the start to some of the best Star Wars ever put together. This is not only going to make R1 that much better but it will add to ANH in ways I’ve never thought were possible.

The amount of sacrifice Gilroy displayed to the audience was astounding. The human cost of a rebellion in Star Wars has never, and probably will never be, presented in such a raw and up close type of way. Just brilliantly done.

I love Luthen so much and the first episode of the night was so damn good to his character. His moral complexity through out the series could not have been written better. He was cold but calculated and you can easily see why the rebellion on Yavin would grow tired of it. His actions weren’t always noble but they were necessary. Good on Andor for making that known.

Pour one out for Lonni Jung. Guy risked everything to uncover the Death Star plans, passed that information on which saved the galaxy, was murdered for his effort because he was a loose end.

Gilroy did something I hadn't seen in Star Wars. He made the Empire afraid. You could see the terror in all their faces when they knew the Death Star plans are out there. Remember the lengths they then go to in Rogue One to ensure the plans don't get out.

K2 braining Imperials in a fashion similar to what the KX units were doing to the Ghor was great. The sniveling weasel being a human shield was perfect.

Add to this, Gilroy is only there because Kathleen Kennedy and others thought Edwards director's cut was shit. So she hired Gilroy to clean it up and it became what it is. Then she offers him a chance to write a treatment for a K2SO/Andor buddy heist series which she agrees to let him change to what we have now. Then she and others all the way up the Disney chain just let him go with very little restrictions outside of budget, which they also leave mostly up to him to work within. All of this is why we have to appreciate this series. This is our Star Wars black swan. It will never happen again. I like Filoni but he has no interest in this. Nor does Favreau. They are good at what they do but it's not this.
