Good to see KSU put away BYU.  That helps.

Does it really help that much?   Another Kstate loss today would have kept Texas a game ahead of the Wildcats even if Horns lose to jayhawks.

Gonna be interesting to see if Big12 gets 9 or 10 teams in the tournament...

I always root for teams above us to lose.  We're playing for Big 12 tournament seed as much as anything.  If we can't win games, it's a moot point.

Being shorthanded AND playing badly, not a great recipe for winning.

Having two of your 6 best players hurt on the road isn't a recipe for playing well. That freshman, despite being over his head today, looks like he's got a ton of upside if Tech can keep him.

It's not all that surprising, we are in rough shape from an injury standpoint on an already thin rotation. Haven't had a healthy rotation since January.

I'm sure we'll be back to full strength and Pop Isaacs will climb out of his slump just in time for the Texas game, though.

Did the Clemson coach mention our best post player was injured in those non-con tournaments?

Imagine anyone at ESPN making this point about SEC football playing 8 games and having FCS games in November.

Also, did someone point out to him that it was ONE game and he'd have to do that 17 more times to compete in the Big 12?

No doubt, there's some stat- and schedule-padding going on, but the takeaway for anybody with eyes is that competition in the Big 12 is ferocious from top to bottom and has been that way for 25 years.

There is not a single gimme/easy game in this conference. Coming from the WCC, I know what gimme games look like.

Here are the remaining schedules for the middle of the pack Big-12 Schools.  Games between mid-pack teams are bolded.

  • Kansas (9-6) - at Baylor (41%), K-State (79%), at Houston (26%)
  • Baylor (9-6) - Kansas (59%), Texas (67%), at Tech (51%)
  • BYU (8-7) - TCU (61%), at ISU (33%), OSU (74%)
  • Tech (8-7) - at WV (59%), at OSU (56%), Baylor (49%)
  • TCU (8-7) - at BYU (39%), at WV (59%), UCF (72%)
  • OU (7-8) - Houston (28%), Cinci (65%), at Texas (33%)
  • Texas (7-8) - OSU (78%), at Baylor (33%), OU (67%)
  • K-State (7-8) - at Cinci (38%), at Kansas (21%), ISU (43%)

If all the favorites win, you end up with:

  • 12-6 - Baylor
  • 10-8 - KU
  • 10-8 - BYU
  • 10-8 - Tech
  • 10-8 - TCU
  • 9-9 - Texas
  • 8-10 - OU
  • 7-11 - K-State

So we really need the above teams to lose every game that isn't to another mid-pack team.

OMG it is so on brand with Baylor that their court is named after Mark Hurd. That clown unsuccessfully tried to hook up ( tried for two years 🤣) with a contractor he hired, lied about it, covered it all up, and got fired. What a pathetic loser🤣🤡!
Other amusing anecdotes, in addition to him constantly trying to touch her boobs:

"You had been telling her about many different women that were crazy about you … including Sheryl Crow."

Hurd was walking around Madrid with Fisher and stopped at an ATM to show Fisher he had an account balance over $1 million.

3. Baylor  10-6                                                   Texas                       @ Tech                         11-7
4. Kansas  9-7                                                    K-State                    @ Houston                  10-8
5. Tech  8-7
@ WVa.                      @Okla St                Baylor                           9-9
6. BYU  8-7                     TCU
@IowaSt                 Okla St                          10-8
7. TCU 8-7
@BYU                        @WVa.                     UCF                                9-9
8. Texas 8-8                                                      @Baylor                  Oklahoma                    10-8

If we can win at Baylor -- which I legit think we can -- we can move up to the No. 6 seed and have an (according to the settled science) infinitely better chance of making the Big XII semifinals than if we're between a 7 and 10 and would face Iowa State or Houston in their first game in the tournament in the quarterfinals.

A good way to lose $600k if your institution collapses and isn't called Silicon Valley Bank. (No CR)

KU with an impressive 2-6 so far on the road in the Big 12. UH is likely going to destroy them in the season finale.

Tugler going down is a big deal in taking out Dickinson.

Obviously I badly want Houston to lose, but this is giving me some legitimate hope that it's possible.

UH will run them. Kansas has nothing on the road. And its Senior Day, where UH will celebrate a ton of stuff. That game will be ugly. I also suspect that KSU will give yall everything you can handle in the Little Apple. Winning on the road is hard, then add in Senior Day and its usually a pretty rough day for road teams unless they are way better than the home team. Same thing for Rapelor at Tech.

K State sucks hind tit, but outside of KU we’re their biggest rival.  All they have left to play for is fucking our season up and they will absolutely do everything in their power to do just that.

Very important game for Texas tonight when TCU plays at West Virginia (6 o'clock on the super secret Big 12 network.)

Texas is 8-9 with a game remaining vs. Oklahoma. Frogs are 8-8 with tonight's game and then hosting UCF. Texas would hold the tiebreaker for the No. 7 seed in KC if they both finish 9-9, but would drop to No. 8 if TCU wins out. ... Personally, I would much rather play Iowa State in the quarterfinals than Houston.
