yep between the officiating and flopping it is a beating even if your team is winning.  hockey is so much better.

Would be nice to see an effort made to get Kyrie into a rhythm out of timeout. (Does Kidd know that plays out of timeouts work for other teams?) Not sure how sustainable role players going nuts is at this pace of play.

Have never been happier to be dead wrong.

It would have been a costly loss, with the same results on the players. What do you suggest we do? Sit our players until they are healthy? That's why everyone hates Leonard.

this.  we have home court now.  huge win no matter the injuries.

I was just making an observation. It's especially frustrating since the refs are clearly using different standards from one player to the next and two of our hurt players can't get fouls called for them. It's remarkable how injury free OKC has been this season.

Injuries/fatigue vs. youth was always going to be a tough matchup. Winning on the road against the 1 seed and taking home court advantage is massive. The intensity isn’t gonna lower, especially if we make the next round. Just take it game by game, hunerd n ten percent, and so on.

Luka ain’t hurt. It’s all gamemanship with him. DJJ is fine. Gafford is so dominant yet can’t make shots this series. I’m not worried about his hand.

Wtf, lol! Someone in the room open their browser and forgot to close pornhub from this morning? Either that or some heifer from Moore getting plowed by an usher in the janitors closet for game 5 tickets.

I admittedly don’t watch a ton of games during the regular season, but Luka always seems to play as though he’s a step slow, and still dominates most of the time. I think he’s legitimately dealing with something but it’s doesn’t seem to me to be a drastic change in style.

FUCK OFF REFS

yep.  how is that not a foul on Luka's shot?

Had the same reaction last night, but as long as the refs can be consistent, we would prefer the refs to let them play because the Thunder are such egregious floppers. And the refs didn't call nearly as many fouls on the Mavs on those ticky-tack fouls as they did in game 1. They still called quite a few, but it was a much more physical game which plays to our advantage because everyone except for Dort on the Thunder weighs like 165. Let them play.

Baseball comparison is bad. Yeah Angel Hernandez exists, but for the most part, umpires behind the plate if they are off are often at least consistent, and very few are very obviously wrong. Basketball's problem is that it goes so fast and the rules are just crazy complicated. I had to listen to the first half last night on the radio feed and hearing them talk about the play that OKC challenged and lost made my brain hurt. Something about his feet were clearly outside the restricted zone but the rule says if his body is in a certain position or of the other guy leads with a shoulder the zone is disregarded something something something. They also didn't know if the refs on the floor made the call or if it came from the league office. Block/charge is also impossible to call right in real time most of the time, it's just a coin flip. I honestly don't know the answer on how to fix those types of calls.

I've barely been able to watch any of this series so far attending both stars games. But people on my text chain that never  bitch about officiating have been cussing the calls SGA has gotten.  Hopefully he doesn't get the benefit on the road tomorrow.  Look forward to finally watching.  Still so pissed the NHL scheduled Stars in direct conflict with Mavs.  At least staggered for games 6 and 7 if both series go long.

Last night didn't seem too bad. The first half of game one was pretty silly. He had 11 free throws in the half I think.

I think what REALLY irks Mavs fans is that Dort is playing like a middle linebacker on Luka on every possession. If things were called the same Dort would foul out midway through the second quarter.

Luka's hurting pretty fucking bad. He's powering through it. Sure a lot of the trips and getting stepped on was shenanigans . But it's pretty obvious with the effort it takes him to get up sometimes or resting on his knees a little too long. Then add on top of that a bloodied good knee and a loose tooth.

I admit, I barely casually watch the regular season, but he's a very tough whiner.

I saw Kyrie waving bye to them from the line at the end. Only got to watch from mid third quarter on, listened to some before. Was it the same couple all night?

He’s playing possum pal. Trust me.

Different Fan in this video

Same direction and the guy last night was wearing red instead of yellow. I think that guy got “his” section involved in fucking with Kyrie. Regardless, if I’m sitting courtside, I’m not talking shit to anyone (except Westbrook). These guys, with the exception of NFL wide receivers, are the best athletes in the world. Be a good host, cheer for your team and be in awe of what they ALL can do.

We should recruit Ky to be a UT fan.

So yeah. Game 3 is important.

Kidd is 3-1 in game 3s(Mavs always lose G1 in every single series and win game 2)as a coach for the Mavs. Only loss is GSW in WCFs.

Big game today.

They both will go that long, but yes we are getting screwed.  Today is better. I like Thunder in 7 and Stars in 7. If they both advance I’ll be ecstatic.

I watched a good bit of OKC this year and I still don’t get all the Dort hype. He benefits so much from that system of random blitzing and double teams with Chet playing safety.

When he was 1:1 on all star players they hit the lowest fg %.  All the metrics and many players say the same.  Luka says him and Jrue are best I believe.  Seems Luka would know.

I know what the numbers say and I think he’s a good defender. I just don’t think if you took him off that team he would have the same impact like you would see with Holiday. OKC has a unique defensive scheme that emphasizes his combo of size and aggressiveness.

Fair, huge Holiday fan here, I don't think he's that level.
