tl;dw Chapman’s walk rate is way down because his catcher is now calling for fastball’s in a specific spot and Chapman has never thought about targeting a specific location because he was always just asked to “throw his fastball”

Just read a little about this guy and the monster year he had going in AA/AAA (1.43 ERA, 179K/114IP) and he had a pretty strong start as well

His delivery is kind of reminiscent of Lincecum.

yeah they’ve called up two absolute studs in the past couple of weeks, i’ve shared some of the other guy’s work in the “nasty pitches” thread. these two guys look the part so far. mclean, i think, is the other guy.

This is the truth.  Both of these guys look like the real deal. McLean just threw everything exactly where he wanted his last start and Tong looks like  an Asian Lincecum.

this guy doesn’t want juan soto, the best all around left handed hitter in the game, to play for the yankees, clearly expressing that soto has been a disappointment, and then taking it so far as to question if soto is really 26. keeping in mind that left handed hitting jazz chisholm is going to go 30/30 (or close to it) hitting in that ballpark, i’d like to take this moment to point out this yankee gan that juan soto is currently at .254 with 102 runs, 35 hr, 84 rbi, and 24 sb, while leading the league in walks, and this is, by any measure, a down year for him at the plate. incredible. helo, do you have any relatives in NY doing sports radio?
