@Scraps right now ...

Mad Arthur GIF by MOODMAN

At least waterhead started moving him in the correct direction of the lineup

I said it in spring everyone is running on this outfield, why would anyone hold up. Makes it hard to win when we don’t have a single plus arm in the outfield

Hunter needs to claim arm soreness and open a edibles shop call it “Craven”  selling  Hunter’s Brownies

FJC

Damnit, the 1st error leads to another run (debatable with the walk) and then throws it away.  2 errors in the inning from LF for the gold glover is special.

Maybe they weren’t death threats being made at all, but rather Deaf Threats, meaning they were threatening to scream this team’s collective ears off, yelling “this team sucks ass” really really loud.

TK just asked who does Hunter remind you most of.
By far it’s Nolan- not for mechanics, not for attitude, not for looks. For shitty run support

Driving around the other day and Paul Gallant had Jeremey Booth on talking about the Astros.

I guess they knew each other  from the Seattle days and maybe Booth knows what he is talking about, but the guy is not a fan of Jake playing every day which I understand somewhat.

Thing is how do you take a guy who is hitting over .300 out of this line-up?

Booth was adamant that Dubon should be starting for the Astros because he is gold glove winner, but if he really a starter or is he better in small doses so to speak?

Who could foresee trading a 5 tool player in the OF and moving a declining 2B to LF could have such effect? 🙄 Brown not getting Suzuki as part of the package from the Cubs was criminally negligent.

They are hitting pop ups out off a cy young caliber pitcher, and we can't do shit against their garbage.

Even Meyers at his most limpdick ladt year is better than Dubon in the outfield and at the plate.  Dubon is the epitome of no walk, no power empty BA.

The lack of any adjustments is the astonishing thing to me.  You'd think Walker eventually would be like okay, i'm going to try and draw a walk.   Then maybe be like i'm going to try and shoot one to right.

Grossest game of the year candidate. Wow.

Rodger’s just stealing money

Like a festering anal sore.....

Part of me wants Tampa to make the play offs simply for MLB to have to deal with the issue of playing games in this joke of a park.

If you swing and it hits you, it's still a swinging strike and would be strike 3.  If it hits the bat, it's a foul ball and not strike 3.

It looked like it hit the knob of the bat and should have been a foul ball.

I don't understand what Cash got thrown out over.

Whitley in

And back to back walks

Edited by WBT

And that's why you don't walk 2 batters.  Whitley's scoreless streak to start his career ends at 8 IP

Just DFA Whitley. He's never going to be a meaningful contributor and he's just taking up space on the 40-man roster.

I am sure Citron and Snitiker can get him straightened out.

Most likely going on the injured list for the whiplash he suffered trying to follow that ball on its way over the fence.

Tough crowd.  The homer was his first runs allowed after 8 scoreless to start his career.

Suzuki has a full no trade clause.

hmm, wonder if we scouted this guy ....

The Detroit Tigers have purchased the contract of Cuban RHP Richard Guasch (27) from the Rieleros de Aguascalientes of the Mexican League, sources confirm.

Guasch was touching 98 MPH with a 1.93 ERA and 25 SO in 14 IP. He is set to report to Double-A Erie tomorrow.

someone from surly was the first call into the post game show and said 'blow it up !' 4 times. how far you going to rebuild ?

framber will draw interest. everyone needs starters (including us)

lot of our relievers are just fire this year. everyone needs bp arms.

lmj - couple more avg starts and someone might give an A player for him ? lot of teams need pitching

yordan (healthy) could get some serous attention. do we need him if we're rebuilding ?

parades could get some good prospects. two more years under club control. he'll be up for renewal about the time we turn it around ?

jake chad dubon might get some A guys

brown would bring in a very nice haul. do you need a #1 in the middle of a rebuild ?

yordan (healthy) / brown / paredes are the highest value pieces

Not sure what’s more impressive: you finding a way to come up with 10 likable things about this team, or Andrew being able to limit himself to only five hate-able ones.

Yalls boy Luhnow almost fucking blew the whole thing

I'm old enough to remember Luhnow signing a giant fat guy out of the Mexican league

Well one of mine was a sarcastic negative about the astros training staff so I really only did 9.
