With a lot of lower leagues started or starting this weekend time to start this thread up. I know England has already had a few match days in League 1 and down. The EFL Championship kicked off yesterday. Not sure about the rest of Europe.

I figured this is a good catch all, if you want to start league specific threads go for it

Just watched the highlights from PSG v Tottenham.

On PKs, just kick the fucking ball. Stop with the stutter-step.

They need a 3 second shot clock. Will cut all that jitterbug shit out quick.

Ligue 1 starts tomorrow

You can go ahead and crown PSG, but it'll be fun to watch Paris FC in their first year in the top division in 46 years  (and the only team outside of PSG from Paris in a loooong time).

They'll play this year at Stade Jean-Bouin which is literally right next door to PSG

On January 4th they play @ PSG and then they'll host PSG on the last day of the year. That should be a pretty interesting crowd to see.

Need some help from the surly hivemind: we're doing a family trip to Rome in December. My parents (in their 70s), my son (17 years old), and I want to go to a Roma match at Stadio Olimpico. Is there anything I need to know before going? I see some good seats on stubhub. Is it just as easy as buying them and downloading the tickets like I would for an American sporting event? My parents are still very spry and active. They go to every LSU home football game (and several away games) so they're used to stadium walks, stairs, big crowds, etc. Is there anything I should be concerned about with them and accessibility?

I've been to matches in Milan and Florence.   I wouldn't trust StubHub unless something changed this year.    Both times I bought directly through the team's website.   You have to enter the names of people and show ID with your ticket.   My drivers License worked both times.

I would go here to buy tickets.

As for accessibility, I haven't been to a match in Rome, but San Siro in Milan and the stadium in Florence are much closer to what stadiums were like in US in the 1970s.  Seats are extremely small, if you are over 6' be prepared to be jammed in.  Concourses are tiny and the concessions are sh!t.   But the matches are a must do if you like soccer or really just sports in general.

Just took a look at the Roma Ticket site, it is really nice.   It has a great seat picker, I'd suggest looking for aisle and potentially the last row in a section.   I sat at the top of San Siro and was happy, because I could stand up and was jammed it.
