What does this all mean?

Over the next few days we will be migrating all backend hosts to https:// and after the USC game we will turn on permanent auto redirects to https:// only.

If you would like to use surly in a secured state (except for http:// images hosted elsewhere) then you can manually navigate to: https://www.surlyhorns.com/board/

Happy Secured Browsing!

It means that the owners/operators of the site have received an SSL certificate from a certificate authority and will now use https: instead of http:, thereby securing your use of this site.

In other words, it's a security thing.  It doesn't require anything from you.
