We'll do the typical Gundy vanilla playbook and likely escape with a 7-10 point win.

I mean you're giving them 26.5 points. Guessing UT Martin is pretty fucking awful. Granted y'all have certainly had some adventures as of late against non-con cupcakes.

So this guy is under .500 over 4 years with over 400 picks but someone is allegedly paying him to write gambling previews? Talk about an easy fucking paycheck. I could ask AI to make picks and it would probably bat .500. Shit - maybe that's what he's doing.

Coming off a bad year, most touts tend to change their brands--e.g., going from "Bookie Busters" one year to "Can't-Miss Sports" the next. Then, posing as a new, hot entity, they continue to fleece the same customer base. What's amazing is that this guy continues to let his skirt fly up and show his <50% history when anything less than 53% loses money to the books. I sure as hell wouldn't follow a tout who doesn't have enough sense not to publicly brag about a losing record.

-Boise State at USF - I think USF will be a good team this year. Give me USF over Life After Jeanty.

-Ohio at Rutgers - Rutgers gets way too much credit for being some sort of super tough program. I give Schiano credit for turning them around again, but 7-6 on the reg doesn't mean your tough just because your school is the flagship of a shithole state. That said, the Ohio dude left for fucking Charlotte, so Rutgers rolls in an ugly one.

-East Carolina at NC State - I am foolishly taking NCSU because I enjoy being letdown.

-Miami (OH) at Wiscy - Fickell is on the hot seat. I am interested in seeing just how bad Wisconsin might be and using this game as a pulse check on that.

-Nebraska vs Cincy - I think Satterfield is a buffoon and I've always thought that Rhule was a good coach. Folks have been too hard on Raiola after playing every game as a true freshman. I like Nebraska way bigger than 6.5 tonight, I don't care who Cincinnati has coming back.

I really like what Nebraska did in the portal.  Key from KY was one of the best pickups that no one talked about.  If Raiola has a sophomore jump, Key will have a really big year.  They made some other nice pickups and have a very easy schedule.  Bet they win by 20.

Catholics vs Convicts has my interest.

I don't care for either program, but I'm kinda hoping Miami wins simply because it will motivate ND all the more two weeks later when they host aggy.  The Irish know they will have no shot at a playoff spot if they lose both games.

One of my girlfriend's sorority sisters is the director of recruiting at Cincy - cool person, she's a big fan of Satterfield on a personal level, but every time she talks about him I hear "nice guy? I don't give a shit. Good father? Fuck you, go home and play with your kids."

Moving a random Cincy/Nebraska discussion from the Texas/OSU thread to here.

Found THIS Homer breakdown on the Husker thread. Would be curious about your thoughts as it seemed like a good one to me. However, I don't know what I don't know and it was a homer.

On paper, Cincinnati looks like they can be a decent ball club. They return their QB and a 1st team All Big 12 TE. They bring in spares from A&M at WR and Walker from OU/Wiscy at TB. They have some OLs coming back.

On defense, Cincy returns like 4-5 of their own guys and 3-4 starters from other backwater programs like Coastal and NMSU. They have some talent including the mobster veteran DT, Corleone, who has NFL talent.

The problem for Cincinnati is that Satterfield is an imbecile and should not be a P4 HC. I assume he’ll be fired after this season and they’ll try to hire Fickell back after he’s shitcanned going 4-8 at Wisconsin.

Nebraska, as mentioned, has a now veteran Raiola playing QB. Dane Key, as Drebin said, is a stud transfer. Emmett Johnson has played TB there for awhile. They like him plus two others and all will get carries with Holgerson calling the shots. They return two starters on the OL plus two good OL transfers that started for years at ND and Bama.

The defense is mostly home grown and we’re going find out if Rhule is as good of a developer as I think he is because there are a bunch of new starters in the front 7, only 2 of whom have transferred in to Lincoln. The secondary has a ton of experience as starters.

I just think Rhule is a good coach and Satterfield is a bad coach. I take Nebraska all day in this one.

How many girlfriends do you have, and what are some of their connections?

I don't know why a bigger fish didn't portal tamper Corleone away from Cincinnati. I guess he has an NIL deal with a local restaurant that serves the Godfather Burger in his name, so maybe that was too much to overcome.

He looked like Suh going against Chris Hall in the Big 12 championship. Had his way with the Nebraska OL. Maybe he's just that good as a 5th year player. He's been pretty good previously. But he looked dominant against Nebraska. I thought he was the best player on the field in that game.
