I'm guessing we will see the following

Thursday: Elish (TX) vs. Juarez (OU)

Friday: O'Leary (TX) vs. Lopez (OU)

Saturday: Elish (TX) vs. Juarez/Saile (OU) - will depend probably on how they first 2 games go - if its a split, Gasso will probably throw Juarez again and if OU is going for the sweep, probably Saile

Both coaches are going to treat this like a super regional.

We aren't a power hitting team though - we play gap to gap - 74 doubles and 12 triples versus 34 HR.  Plus Janae small-balling the shit out of teams (12 bunt singles)

McCombs is pretty well set up for gap power but not long ball power - really high fences

At the risk of sounding like Captain Obvious, this is a really big series for the Horns. With a couple of wins, Texas will gain a bunch of confidence heading to the end of the season. Lose this series, and God forbid, get blown out, and it maybe too late in the year to get our Mojo back. Mike White and Patti will both coach as if this is the WCWS.

So a premium on defense then?  Super.

Shae is on the top 25 list for National Freshman of the Year.  And she leads the nation in ERA.

OU's Grace Green (yes, same name as the one we have coming in next year) is also on the list.

Winner of this series is probably the favorite for Big 12 Freshman of the Year. Sydney Romero is probably POY.  But Shae could end up Pitcher of the Year

2 runs might as well be 10 in this game. Dropped pop up on the bunt was a killer

Bad throw by third baseman equally as damaging..

Hold 'em to just 2 runs, and Horns Still have a shot.

Hey cool Burke got out of the way of the rbi hit.

This lady color commentator is right about the tight corners. Why?

No idea, but that "lady color commentator" is Megan Willis, the longhorn Helen of Troy that led to the term "no sex at all" and ultimately the downfall of hornfans.  csb.

Not a bad performance losing 3-1. Hope we look better at the plate tomorrow.

We have to do work the first 2 times through the order. Can’t keep waiting to break through the 3rd time.

-We were an absolute mess at the plate tonight.  Juarez is a great pitcher, but we helped her out a ton tonight by swinging at almost everything.

- OU has a much better roster than we do, top to bottom. Not much we can do about that.

Oh yea?  How 'bout crutin' some great players?

He’s working with the best hand from the shit he was left.

I understand, completely.   I think he did a great job in bringing in those players from O.  He'll need some time, and I am sure he will be getting HIS players in place to compete against the likes of OU.  We will get better.

Did the TV broadcast mention or did anyone hear the status of Bekah Alcozer ?

Tedder played RF against UTA,  Hayter last night.    Would like to have seen Bekah take a couple of hacks against Juarez  -  leftys were at a great disadvantage.

Tough to admit,  but OU is in the upper echelon of college softball built on Gasso's California recruiting pipeline and an excellent coaching staff.   The adjustments they made to Elish (8 hits) were impressive,  though certainly the errors were significant.

Patience,  we will get there.
