  1. Past hour
  2. Is this the kind of tee Yordan's using?
  3. I'm going to have a good afternoon with my kids and embrace the sweep because it worked in 2022.
  4. maybe we should give nerris more innings too ?
  5. I'll be surprised if we hold on and win the division.
  6. Obligatory video below. The name of the ad is 'epidemic,' which is very appropriate. Everyone was wrapped up in Ichiro and the Mariners. "Did you see what Ichiro did yesterday?" I went to a shitload of games then.
  7. Georgia is also pioneering the "orange shirt" program where they open up roster space by having players do a semester at the county jail
  8. for a fucking blister??!?! what a fucking joke
  9. three different times they’ve play led a ball to the back post with nobody there.
  10. I preferred “Love in the First Degree” at the time, but I was just a stupid teenager.
  11. Oopsies this sucks
  12. There is nothing nutty about me telling the democratic party to go fishing where the fish are at.
  13. Injury Updates from @Astros GM Dana Brown, talking with @raford3 during pregame: - Spencer Arrighetti will make another rehab start, and if all goes well, is expected to re-join the big league club after that. - Cristian Javier will be "shortly after him" - Brown thinks Jeremy Peña "will be back here soon". Could be as early as August 1st. Wants to get him in a few rehab games and then get him back with the club. - On Yordan Alvarez: "Ramping up his workload" and once he gets through that hurdle, "get him on some lives"; Wants a short stint wherever he goes next, "I'll take a 75% Yordan Alvarez over some of the guys we have now." Sounds like live pitching then a few rehab games. - On Lance McCullers, had been dealing with the blister. Want to get him throwing again, get him stretched out. "Hopefully get him back in a few weeks." - On Brandon Walter: Thinks he'll be out maybe 3 weeks or so, hopefully get him tossing a ball soon. - On Isaac Paredes: "A little bit more severe than we had projected." Getting a second opinion, will know more in the next week. "Tough to be optimistic when it's a little more than severe."' - On Trade Deadline: We were already looking for a left-handed bat, and potential an infielder. Says there's a good chance they will have to trade from the major league roster to get a deal done. #BuiltForThis
  14. I came across the above article in the comments on this video on Reddit. It’s terrible. https://files.catbox.moe/38sap1.mp4
  15. That backup Spanish striker has whiffed on soooo many perfect crosses this tournament.
  16. I've been an Astros fan since Joe Morgan was on the team, and this is the worst assemblage of batters (don't call them "hitters") I can recall. Several of these guys wouldn't have merited ABs in the darkest days of the franchise. But sure, they're going to turn it around any day now.
  17. Israel levelling thousands of Gaza civilian buildings in controlled demolitions https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/idt-33fccfbe-abcc-4af1-bdd2-632b2787cf59
  18. Getting CJGJ for aggy was a master stroke. Still the entire Kenyon situation is a huge black mark for Caserio considering he traded up for that loser and passed on both Jalen Carter and Kyle Hamilton. Whiffing on Kenyon and Blake Fisher, if the latter is a bust, will get Caserio fired. Demeco will not put up with another OL abortion this year.
  19. kurtz finally gets a day off, we have a chance
  20. Huh, fell behind again
  21. Hahaha Fuck this
  22. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
  23. Spain should have scored there.
  24. I'm with you. We are the talk of college football this year. That didn't happen even during the 2000s. In part because of USC in 2004 and 2005. I still think it's incredible ESPN pitched that season as the dominance of USC, and can upstart Texas even compete with the mighty Trojans? They could have pitched it as Ali versus Frazier but chose David versus Goliath. I still think they missed an opportunity there. Last year talking heads questioned UT's pass defense. They questioned how Texas would do in their first year in the SEC. There was this underlying conceit that we've seen Texas be a flash in the pan before. Is this for real this time? Completely different level this year. When we're not being talked about it's like we're the elephant in the room. The combination of the Texas brand and the Manning brand is making Texas the most compelling story of the offseason. It was a different time, but I don't think Texas has received this kind of attention from the people who cover this stuff since 1968-1970 when we rattled off 30 wins in a row, had the Game of the Century, and had the president anoint us as national champions. There's definitely a build-them-up-so-we-can-tear-them-down vibe about it. But vibe there is nonetheless. Ohio State is the other national bellcow, and I don't see the same kind of coverage of them at all. Same thing with all the SEC teams. Georgia, Alabama and LSU are playing second fiddle for the most part.
