  1. Past hour
  2. If I squint, only Harris. And that's only due to Hovland being injured. And as funny as it is to imagine the Euros conceding so they can get the celebration started early, I think they're going to enjoy drubbing the shit out of the US. Force the shitty American fans to listen to the Ole chants all afternoon long.
  3. Plays like that stab me in the heart for that very reason. I wanted Georgia to lose because I've gotten to where I can't stand Kirby Smart, but to be that receiver? Man!
  4. I couldn't agree more. Often when I see an underdog make it to OT I think they should go for the win as soon as possible. We'll forever have the glorious Dave South call when Baylor converted the two point conversion to beat the Aggies for the first time in forever. I heard it live on the radio.
  5. shameful.
  6. Not sure where to put this, but the "top" NFL mock drafts presently have the following in round 1: My conclusions from these mock drafts: (1) We have a list of consistently poorly run organizations and 1 who has fumbled the QB position post-Roethlisberger (2) no one stands out (3) 2026 NFL draft will be bereft of quality QBs
  7. Already fired coaches: Okla State Va Tech UCLA Likely fired: Arky Florida Oregon State Northwestern Fired if they dont get to 10ish wins or make a run/look better: LSU? Michigan USC Baylor? TCU? Ive never seen 1) This many big name programs with possible openings 2) This many big name programs with likely vacancies THIS early in the season Who else am I missing
  8. I believe Des was the only picker that had Oregon. Corso being a vastly superior to Saban given his medical condition really makes you think.
  9. To be fair that 3rd down drop on a perfect pass will haunt that georgia receiver for the rest of his life.
  10. Depends on the scenario, but in the case of UGA, stupid to go for 1st when it’s a chip shot to tie it (when you’re (allegedly) the better team at home). In the case of Wake Forest? Your defense is gassed in OT, I don’t mind trying to win. heck on the Bama attempt at midfield, dropping into shotgun and QB punting might have been a better choice (yes, hindsight)
  11. Arkansas should move to the Big 12 which should change its fucking name which was always stupid anyway.
  12. Alabama hadn't scored since the beginning of the 2nd half. They weren't trading points. Kirby needs to catch some shit over it because it was incredibly stupid.
  13. Given their body of work, LSU is just not a good offense. Nuss should not have returned. That said, Kiffin has his best team in his Ole Miss tenure. Bama is going to be a problem. DeBoer is a fantastic coach. I was hoping the Finebaum army of rednecks would run him out of town before he got it going.
  14. Obviously, I'm very late to the discussion above. It's a good one and fair. When a woman makes an accusation of rape against a prominent athlete, the results will be terrible no matter which way the truth falls. Either the woman was raped and is now being toasted under public scrutiny (terrible) or the man is falsely accused and will rarely escape the stigma (also terrible). I recall a QB named Sanchez at USC who we wanted and who seemed exemplary in just about every way. He was accused. In that case, I don't think the accusation held up. See? I recall the accusation and am only pretty sure it was invalid. The incident is tied to his name even now by a college football fan (me) who is pretty sure he came out okay. I lean strongly towards the woman's side at the moment of accusation because, if true, she needs support. It's such a betrayal on those occasions when the accusation is false and makes it harder for actual victims. Again, compliments on the dispassionate analysis.

  16. Learned: 1. Clemson is not good. Maybe the worst of the preseason rankings. How did so many people get this wrong, myself included 2. LSU moving up on the back of Clemson win was bad. That offense has struggled all year 3. Things can change, but that Georgia defense isn’t looking like a Georgia defense. They are really struggling to get any pressure on the QB. Not sure if secondary is on par or that is result of the lack of pressure 4. Miss State is really improved. Just took Tenn to OT. Offense looks solid. 5. Offenses look behind defenses in general.
  17. Kyle Field disagrees.
  18. Begs the question: How'd he get the one?
  19. Yesterday I was thinking that Euros may take their foot off the gas once the clinched. But after our antics and with the MOV record within reach, I think they might be out for blood. 8 points to get to 19.5 with what looks like pretty big advantages in the following: Fleetwood vs Thomas McIlroy vs Scheffler (and I bet Rory is VERY motivated to hang 0-5 on world #1) Rahm vs Schauffle Lowry vs Henley Hojgaard vs Griffin Hatton vs Morikawa MacIntyre vs Burns Hovland vs Harris (depending on Hovland's injury) What US player would you bet on in any of those matches?
  20. I think Ole Miss passes us, I think LSU, Penn State and Tennessee all drop about 5 spots so you have something that looks like. 1. Ohio State 2. Miami 3. Oregon 4. OU (beat Michigan and Auburn) 5. Ole Miss (beat Tenn) 6. A&M (beat Auburn, ND) 7. Texas (lost on the road to #1 team, beat nobody) 8. Georgia (lost to Bama at home, beat Tenn) 9. Penn State (lost to new number 2/3 at home, beat nobody) 10. LSU (lost to ole Miss, beat Clemson) 11. Indiana (beat Illinois last week, but I don’t think they get more movement for beating Iowa this week). 12. Tech Agree - Still a lot of games to play so it will all work itself out.
  21. Oregon has a really good defense that is fast and swarms.
  22. I don’t really believe the save it for the playoffs schtick as a general rule but last year tOSU mixed it up right after the Michigan loss and first game in the playoffs and won. I don’t recall what it was they did but I think it was on offense. All these coaches are copycats, wouldn’t surprise me at all if sark has he usual new plays for the season but he’s held them all back. Shit he used to do the trickery all season long and we are seeing none of it. Arch need to cleanse the yips out for sure and keep his part going the right direction, but I do wonder - unlike the save it for OU Mack refrain from years gone by - if there really is some 16 game season planning going on over there.
  23. We get the public hype of beating OU at "full strength" while Mateer will be functionally limited and running less. He likely wouldn't finish the game. Also, Mateer getting reinjured and making his thumb worse would doom their season. Only an idiot would rush him back for the Texas game. I fully expect BV to rush him back for the Texas game.
