Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen

Honestly, and I hate myself for this sometimes, but Big Noon is far better than GameDay. I don't mind Leinart, Quinn, and Ingram is OK, but I liked Bush better. GameDay is for the lowest common denominator, imo. You can tell Saban hates that white heater wearing dork, Herbie only got under my skin when he said we were a cesspool (which we were in hindsight), but otherwise he's not too bad. I miss Ben, his loveable, adorable Labrador. May Ben rest in the heavens, sitting at the end of the universe watching the stars and planets for eternity, until the universe collapses in on itself and we are all reunited with our loved ones. -

Counterpoint: This herd could stand to be thinned...quite a bit. Brady Quinn just has a knack for looking wildly uncomfortable at all times. Like he's been holding in a massive fart or worse for 10 years. I used to think he was so uncomfortable because he was covering for some closeted homosexuality. But the less people care about homosexuality, and the older I get and the more I've had to watch people be latently uncomfortable, I'm starting to wonder if the guy just isn't a straight up serial killer. He's like a more handsome, much less slovenly Ted Cruz in that regard. I wonder if he has often ruminated over what it's like to be with his human wife. -
if you have any intentions of competing this year you’re gonna need to trade your top player(s) for 2, 3, 4 players in return. i’m basically looking to trade three players for one SP is anyone is interested.

You didn't like it? I will actually send a decent one but our flaws don't match

Did grad school at the LSE and spent a bunch a time around that area. If you need restaurant recommendations for the area, pm me.

I feel this To me, NCAA FB was always so far above NFL. Your childhood friends went to your rival, so you carried that fun by beefing through holiday meetups back home. The fans were more "upper crust" compared to NFL fans. The product just felt superior - more innovation, the lack of free agency (until now), watching some random 3* kid from Tuscola, TX thrive. Plus you had things like MACtion on a Tuesday night, Thursday night conference games, etc. that just hit different than your boring, over-produced TNF or MNF. Rankings also made games more interesting - seeing something like #1 USC losing to unranked Stanford on a Friday night was better than anything the NFL was putting out. All the things that made is special don't feel as special, except maybe the rivalry games. CFB becoming a podcaster playground for degenerate gamblers and hot take donkeys is just.... ugh -

That dude was a small TB from San Antonio. Think he had a kid or two and ultimately decided he couldn't be away from them or some such. That whole 90 minutes between Austin and SA was just too much. -
Shocking to see a giant pussy whining about CR posters for the 9000th time.

as long as you crouch on the floor with your hands over your head under your desk in flash flood you'll be fine, even in your basement.

Ole Miss is a major player in that arena also.. I think they are attempting to address it with the rule about injuries once a ball is spotted for play that "injuries" after that are a charged timeout against the defense. It will be curious to see how they enforce that and how many "injuries" start to occur just before the ball is spotted.

I guess they believe some days are better than others if you have to watch your own 5 star recruits flip. -

Wasn’t one of them another treasure from Aledo? -
If you get 15 minutes warning for a tornado, you're doing really fucking well. No one is evacuating "days before weather arrives." Your entire contribution to this thread has been pure, unadulterated, bullshit. No, it is go to lower ground or even under ground per @Texas Fight
-
Just like the sirens on the Pedernales, which are specifically designed to give people close to the river advance warning so they can leave the low area and get to higher ground. BTW, I have years of involvement with Mo Ranch. “Get to higher ground” is 100% one of the protocols. Warning helps you do that.
