  1. Past hour
  2. For this, the Biden administration, Merrick Garland, Jack Smith and even the Democratic Party can only be considered abject failures. The Democratic Party failed to stop fascism and barbarism when it was right before the eyes of the entire freaking world. The Jan 6 committee provided the details. Bottom line, the Democratic Party simply let Trump et al off the hook... after he tried to overthrow the government. As a consequence, secular democracy is toast. Total Failure.
  3. Oh well. Hook 'em Horns!
  4. No, Cal, where Nick Ross missed the XP at the end and we lost.
  5. It is amazing most of the Simms narrative is centered around that game. People forget the 99 Kansas State clunker from Applewhite because of the comeback he nearly led with everything on the line.
  6. Wait why on Earth would he turn down a 53-man spot?
  7. Yeah, I was there. Only thing that I can remember topping it in person was the VY comeback against Ok St. That was electric!!!!
  8. I don't think Donaldson and Wisner are really comparable. Donaldson is a big dude. Wisner is way smaller. What Baxter gives us that the rest of our backs don't is the ability to change directions and break tackles. Wisner has had to grow into his role, but he answered the call last year in a big way. He and Blue stepped up bigtime last year. I imagine the entire room should perform better now that defenses will have to account for the QB in the run game.
  9. We trusted the process. And the process failed us.
  10. I would take OSU as being better at fucking their sisters while on a meth fueled bender. That, and wide receiver. Y’all are going to get fucked Saturday. Bring the lube or don’t, makes no difference to us.
  11. Was that the Ok State game when Texas got ass fucked by the refs and the defensive holding penalty on Poona?
  12. I was present when Simms rolled up to the SAE house to confront some bitch ass frat boy that prank called him/heckled him incessantly. As you might suspect he hid inside as his buddy's tried to apologize profusely. Reading that gets me fired up again almost 25 years later. There might not have been a single person that knew Simms (or in particular knew both Simms and Major) that didn't stand up for the guy when dumbass fans that had no idea who he was or what he was about talk about those days.
  13. I’ll take the home team every time until we see a team go on the road and win.
  14. I think this is exactly what happened. It's not just that Texas is better at all position groups, I think every one of our starters is better than theirs, save for Caleb Downs. Bobby still hedging on Goosby is not what I was hoping to hear. At this point I do not expect him to play and will hope to be happily surprised. I appreciate you sticking your neck out in this thread and the conversation that you're generating. Good faith participation from opponents is great for the Board. That being said, the only clear advantage that OSU has on either side of the ball is WR. And Jeremiah Smith is an absolute freak and y'alls WR room deserves all the credit its getting. But OL is a push at best, TE is a push or only a slight advantage to OSU, our RB room is better even if by only a modest margin, and our QB is demonstrably more physically talented and experienced. Even if Sayin has a 5-star arm, he doesn't have Arch's legs or build and he has thrown what? 6 passes in live play? And that's even before we get to the defense, where I think we are better across the board save that one dude at safety. Day is a great coach and Hartline may be the best WR coach in CFB history, but otherwise I don't think y'all have any other advantages on us in terms of staff. OSU is a great program and I'm not saying this is a slam dunk for Texas. There are a lot of unknowns on both sides. But I am prone to pessimism and dooming, and even I like Texas' chances this weekend. I do not know this story and would very much like to hear it. Please keep this stupid bullshit in the Ewers thread.
  15. It's been like this for three seasons now. Through 132 games: 2025: 72-60 2024: 70-62 2023: 74-58
  16. Graham is hedging his bets and I'm enjoying it. Who uses "I still think aTm will win"? For a sunshine pumper, I'd expect some better verbs, such as mud hole, beat down, felony assault, hide yo kids, etc: https://gigemgazette.com/first-look-at-texas-a-m-s-utsa-opener-could-have-aggie-fans-holding-their-breath?utm_source=gol
  17. and 2/3rd completed nuclear reactors.....
  18. Not on such a stage. Win, and the team is in. Coupled with a heartbreaking comeback that fell short....it was agonizing.
  19. I can translate Pochese. What he's saying is "half my European-based players are entitled bitches that don't care about the national team and/or ride the pine for their club. On the other hand, Diego Luna wants to run through a motherfucking brick wall. Give me more of that energy."
  20. Nike said "wanna wear Idaho's alts?"
  21. So far, it's looking real good. Beginning Saturday, not a day in the forecast over 90 for a week, although that Saturday "real feel" with high humidity is a bit rare for this neck of the woods. Most of us will be inside all day watching THE game and all the others, so whatever.
  22. I like Ehlinger fine as a former player. I liked him at Texas fine for the most part. I thought he sucked as a freshman and called him a loser before he went on to have solid rest of his career, making me look like an idiot as he did so. I have acknowledged I was wrong on the loser comment on the old Ehlinger thread. It doesn't prevent folks who really, really love Ehlinger from bringing it up any time I hurt their feelings on something else. You see one of our resident Westlake lovers doing that here because I apparently don't appreciate Klubnik to the appropriate levels that his Clemson performance demands. Regardless of all of that, it's never not fun to rile up those with I Am Sam sensitivities. To your point about that 2020 OU aftermath, I will also always appreciate Ehlinger doing what he did. And fuck Caden Stearns forever. I will never value that asshole as a former player.
  23. And that was the extent of his entire career at Texas, that single game.
