What is your biggest business regret?
Pescado_Rojo replied to Vegas64's topic in Business and Markets
2014 I was in a specialist SE role at a big tech focused on VDI. A friend of mine from my team got downsized, and ended up at Nvidia. At the time they had just released some high end workstation GPUs that could be virtualized, and we were selling a lot of them in my practice. Anyway, my buddy reaches out to see if I'd be interested in jumping over there, so I went through the interview process. They eventually made me an offer, and low-balled me. I saw it as basically a lateral move to a niche company with less security than I had at the time(My twins were 7 then), so I said "thanks, but no thanks"... Buddy is still there, and just bought a house in Crested Butte.. -
Week Three CFB Preview: Start Up the Meat Grinder

Never heard of a good Baylor experience. My brother went to an Ole Miss - Baylor Sugar Bowl and said the Bears fans were a joyless, judgmental crew whose only redeeming feature was that they cleared out of the bars by 10pm. -

Did Klubnick and Wesco both get suspended? 6 points is basically unheard of based only on bettor action. -
You never forget a first love.

Seems that if Kash and friends had a bunch of evidence of pinko commie online presence it’d be all over the news by now. Sounds more like a chronically online and angry gamer troll. If his online chatter is anything else they’ll just let this one go because it won’t serve their purpose.

Which would explain a lot of things because his on-field example has been really shitty this year, and especially lately. terrible slump at the plate that starts with a horrendous approach to each AB and then taking for granted being able to get to third in extras on a grounder to first base. completely inexcusable. we’re still panicking but not in complete meltdown mode if we pull out that first game against the blue jays and every little thing in a close game matters including properly handling how to go from 2nd to 3rd on a grounder to right side in extras.

That would explain a lot about our friend, Brisket. And I'll fight him for Sela Ward. Put some respect on her name!

omg ... make sure you watch the whole thing

Don't ask why, but I'll be there tonight. Should be dozens of us at the game.

Will be very interesting to see what changes the Astros make regardless of the outcome and a big issue is going to be the Altuve contract. They owe him 30M a ear for 2026 and 2027, 25M for 2028, and then 10M in 2029 which is a great deal of money for a guy who is basically a DH. I am not suggesting they trade him, recognize what he has done for the club, and his place in Astro history, but they are going to have some tough choices on what to do with Jose and manage the lineup when they get some of these parts back.

I've never been treated better or had more fun as a road fan than my trip to Morgantown. Utterly first class experience. Gorgeous setting. Unique and quintessentially college football. We were getting flagged down an plied with food and booze every 50 feet. The morning before the game, a guy in the Krorgers saw us buying beer and invited us to his tailgate. When we got to the lots, we tried to head directly to it, and it took us 3 hours because so many people stopped us. Most places I went to road games people were cool (Waco and Columbia, MO being the exceptions), but it was on another level there. -
Never forget someone claimed this locked up the midterms for Republicans As they are already pivoting away from talking about it…..
