  3. is the thought that a ruling saying he doesn't have the power makes the markets go up?
  4. We better hit on every defensive portal guys we get and have the best defense in the country to make up for the dog shit offense we’re gonna have to endure.
  5. I heard on the radio this morning that Indiana has more living alumni than any other US college or university. I looked on wiki and they list their current systemwide enrollment as 110,000. The have a bunch of campuses around the state and consider them all part of the main university, even though a few play sports separately in the NAIA, so I guess they all consider themselves IU Hoosiers. It's not like like UT or Cal where the big system schools operate separately and have their own D1 athletics programs so there's no real loyalty to the main campus sports programs unless it's by independent choice. IU also has more promininet alumni than I thought, way beyond Cuban. The conversation was that there's no reason IU can't be a big time football program going forward if the investment is there even after Cignetti retires. With those resources though I'm surprised IU basketball hasn't made much noise over the last several decades except for a blip here and there since that's been their deal historically.
  6. What’s up boys. West crew morning crew checking in. Todays the day we get errrbody
  7. I'mma play this Vandross, you gon' take your pants off.
  8. Brooks should be back at tackle. Seems like an enormous mistep to take a guy touted as a 3 year NFL tackle and then yank him in and out for 2 years at guard. Also he sucked at guard LT: Goosby, Chatman, Turntine LG: Christian? N Robertson? Portal? C: C Robertson? Portal? RG: Baker, Coleman? RT: Brooks, Cojoe, Portal? Folks here won't be happy with this lineup. I wouldn't bet on it being good either but at this point it looks like our most likely scenario
  9. There will be a decision. Its ALWAYS a guessing game on when.
  10. Would there be legal reasons why an agreement between schools that sets punitive damages for court-proven tampering cases (i.e., tortious interference in the courts) would be illegal. So in your example, the courts say that School 2 owes School 1 $Y in damages, but the NCAA states that because tampering has been proven in court, School 2 additionally owes School 1 $10 million in NCAA-levied punitive damages.
  11. Never when I want it... :( Oh... hey, it'll snow... you know, a few days after holidays are over
  12. So it seems like an ICE convoy drive itself into the middle of Renee Good rather than the other way around.

Rosters gonna get smaller in CFB -- if yah getting paid yah gotta play. NFL model 65-70 paid players. Then add 20-30 non-paid scholarship players (2 star and below) for practices and development. If non-paid players leave not as big a deal. Example that doesn't work is pay a 1st yr player who doesn't see the field (like WR Ffrench) then leaves. Also, this guy was gonna visit Texas -- not now 🙄
  14. That Cal LB and Pitt LB look like great ways to fill your LB position.
  15. But the best, most connected criminals don't get caught. The fact that they don't have criminal records is the proof that they were the really bad guys.
  16. For sure. Although it's not strictly legal, there is a "moral" component to contracts. Breach them regularly or flagrantly, and you're a piece of shit; not a man of your word, etc. But, these contracts are pretty interesting in that the normal standard of damages would be the cost of acquiring an equivalent player, less what you had agreed to pay the breaching player, which is going to be nigh unto impossible to prove given that the value of players is so intangible and incapable of estimation. And that might be a fact supporting specific performance (unique goods or services), meaning holding a player to their contract. A reasonable fiction might be School 1 signs a player for X, then School 2 offers X+Y and player breaches with School 1 and signs with school 2. There could be a presumption that player's value is the higher of the two, X+Y, and therefore player/School 2 owes Y to School 1.
  17. Muschamp LBs tend to be more oriented to blitzing and covering. Either/or sometimes both. Run stopping is for the 400 pound defensive tackles. Barnes looks like an in the box LB with some blitz ability.
  18. Cam Coleman notes (Friday, Jan. 9 - 8:55 am) Hank South (Horns 247) Cam Coleman notes (Friday, Jan. 9 - 8:55 am) Cam Coleman notes (Friday, Jan. 9 - 8:55 am) Hank South (Horns 247) -- Coleman is expected at Alabama today. The Tide just lost Isaiah Horton to the portal and have very few scholarship receivers, so I would imagine they're going to make a competitive pitch. -- Communication with Texas has been positive since he left Austin last weekend, per sources. He visited Texas A&M and Texas Tech since his time on the Forty Acres. -- With that said, I got a "your guess is as good as mine," from a source close to the recruitment this week. -- There was some social media buzz yesterday about Texas and its chances for Coleman. At least one school was wondering about the Longhorns generating some momentum, which if nothing else tells you that there's a lot of mystery here, and Coleman is playing this close to the vest. -- The feel of this to me has Coleman picking one of the Texas schools. Each has an established QB (with Tech adding Sorsby and A&M bringing back Marcel Reed) and has a need for a playmaking WR. Alabama will be replacing Ty Simpson next season with either Austin Mack or Keelon Russell. -- Tre Richardson committed to Louisville this morning, so Cam Coleman is the only WR that's visited Texas, and the only WR Texas is going full throttle for at the moment.
  19. Interestingly enough, while I love a good fideo loco, it's something I discovered later in life. My family used all of those ingredients, but as two separate dishes: picadillo, and plain fideo (cooked to be a "dry" dish (fideo seco), not soupy). Kinda like this: Super simple. Brown box of dry fideo in oil. Add some diced onion to brown. Add 2 cups knorr chicken broth. Simmer till broth is all absorbed/cooked off. Top with a melty mexican white cheese if you like (I love menonita). It's a great side dish. Or, when you're young/poor, a meal on its own.
