If we had canceled Ohio State before this year, we would be a bunch of pussies in the playoffs, likely about to humble Indiana. I prefer that scenario.

2025 Texas Coaching/Support Staff Thread

First day here? You can ask texifornia the weather and his answer is going to involve him swimming for an Ivy league school. -
That d list guy is the only aggy I can think of that’s actually awesome.

Watch this mornings show from the top - its one of the first things Bobby said. Tre's agent asked for a million. And then Tre requested his name be entered into the portal without ever talking to the coaches (also according to Bobby).

Fuck that flopper. and now he wants to get in cahoots with taco bell?

That 2nd D list guy allegedly banged Kelly Willis and was married to Julia Roberts. Show some respect.

This right here. If Tre had an elite talent, it was patience. He was great at finding holes that the defense left open against our zone blocking. Thats a good trait, but I would still prefer our RB1 to have traits like “speed” and “strength”. Sad to see him go, but let’s wish him well and find an upgrade.

It's not that hard, guys. We play football to win.

he physically looks better than he ever has. i don’t mean his physique, but the way he moves- his handles, his start-stop-start, his quickness, everything. he isn’t just putting up better stats than ever before, he’s visibly still getting better as a player. it’s incredible.

Miz Long noticed this game and was surprised to see a "bowl" featuring Northwestern and - checks notes - Central Meatchicken. She has a niece who's a Northwestern alumna but was not aware that they have a football team. She asked me to put some perspective on it, but the best I could come up with was Rice v. Tarleton State... I don't think that's too far off.

Time for another ‘my dog is awesome’ thread
Ghost of NMAS replied to Patricio Swayze's topic in Daily Texan
I can't imagine just abandoning my dog. Some days my dog is the only thing keeping me going. I love big shepherds, and it wouldn't be theft. It would be a rescue. -

For those few, almost to the point of extinction, Surlies who aren't cutting edge, state of the art, playoff picture studying fans, here's where Hou stands: Looking at the standings, the only AFC team with any hope of pushing Houston out of the Wild Card would be the Colts, and they're two games back. The Colts also have to play Jacksonville (the team 1 game up on Houston) this weekend, so either the Colts will be knocked out of the playoffs, or Houston will move into a tie for first, assuming we beat the Chargers. We split with Jacksonville this year, 7 points each way. The Chargers are 1-1/2 back of Denver, but guaranteed a playoff spot, so Hou might have a psychological advantage. Should be a great game TOMORROW (SAT) at 3:30pm ON THE NFL NETWORK. I guess we could lose both remaining games, the second one being the Colts, and the Colts win two, but even then, for some unknown reason, sounds like we have the tie-breaker since ESPN gives us a 97% chance of making the playoffs. Pluribus - Vince Gilligan and Rhea Seehorn

Nothing, considering her chaperone already explained that hive members die all the time and it doesn’t create a chain reaction. -

If yelling at a single person can start a chain reaction that kills millions, what would setting off a nuke among thousands of them do? -
I happy to point to Wingo's flaws. His hands and route running, but you cannot watch him play and not see his upside. He would be scary, if he ever learned to play WR. He would get picked up immediately in the portal and paid.

Like in the Vandy, Arkansas, and aggy games?

Both buildings and opposing offenses Appreciate it, man. Thanks for clearing that up. -
Cooper will be better than Wisner and Baxter. Good RBs can play as freshmen Mack.

I loved Tre. He was an aggy and Sooner assassin. That said I can also be very honest about why he was an aggy and Sooner assassin. Both of those defenses love to stunt, slant, twist etc (Venables in particular has a hard on for that stuff). Their gap integrity when doing all of that can be poor…particularly when you couple the scheme with very athletically but poorly disciplined free lancers like aggy Howell. Sark and Tre carved that shit up.
