  1. Past hour
  2. I read the 2025 financial goals thread. I'm on everyone's side. If my loss is everyones gain so be it. I'm just trying to keep my head above water
  3. This is why I always schedule work travel on this week.
  4. Powell is done in less than a year anyway. I agree with your comment on the outcome regardless if he’s fired or leaves when his term as chair ends. I think the bond markets are going to start pushing up rates on longer term treasuries even if the fed lowers the federal funds rate.
  5. Prong Horn, imo
  6. Surprisingly he gave good reviews on the casserole. But he’s not a fan of the thin crust(or as he calls it tavern style)
  7. Of all the possibilities I would like that to be true.
  8. He’s gonna be like Richard Pryor. He’s gonna catch on fire free basing cocaine.
  9. Oh there are plenty of people sounding like rabid, batshit crazy nut jobs. They’re just too siloed to see it
  10. I think most major (call it 20-30) college football teams are going to find the 20.5 million dollar limit. By hook or by crook, they'll find the money for football. The real differentiators for winning programs will be a combination of a) Who stops at 20.5 and doesn't break the rules and b) who has other streams that will make it past the POS deloitte clearinghouse to sweeten the pot. Because roster payrolls aren't stopping at 20.5
  11. That’s like me hoping for a second great depression. Blame the game, but not the players!
  12. Money and discipline. Genes and luck. And both stopped the transfusions based on recent looks.
  13. Mmmm….you may know more that what I read, but from what I’ve been reading a) it’s definitely not table stakes today to be able to thwart AI crawlers and b) allegedly 20% of all internet flows through cloud flare today. It seems like you know more than me about what makes it blase— have you read into the details and still find it to be a nothing burger?
  14. Zero arguments from me
  15. You might as well quote @Wulaw Horn and @LCHorn too so that we're all bad at it
  16. Thanks. I wondered if it was as simple as: OU’s AD, even after layoffs, can’t make their $20.5M nut without 1Oklahomah, and Bellmont better be able to make its nut without TexasOne.
  17. Congrats on people thinking you're a piece of shit bc of how you post on the internet. Maybe consider that before your mom lets you post next
  18. Maybe the plan was to appeal the cabins out of the floodway on paper, thereby making them less flood prone.
  19. This is what it looks like further downstream as of yesterday
  20. Kreul committing late this month is the first I've seen of a commitment date for him.
  21. Fair. On my "who knows" point, I was just avoiding any air of certainty on my part, but I agree with you. With respect to the cabins, I meant once the waters came in, I am not sure anything could have been done based on what I read and having been at the camp and knowing where those sit. Those two cabins were in the middle of what was essentially a massive set of whirlpools. Obviously, if they act even 30 minutes sooner (much less the full hour), this is all a different story. That is what, unfortunately, Mystic/Eastlands, and those that lost people, will be grappling with forever. There likely isn't a great answer there that doesn't boil down to some combo of complacency, hubris, and really, really bad judgment by those *responsible* - like I said, both that night and in decisions made in the years leading up.
  22. Goddammit Twice, THE CHILDREN ARE GONE!
  23. Suffice to say-- it's never going to rain again.
  24. And Paul Rudd
