  1. Past hour
  2. If by short term you mean 15+ years; I guess so. I'm not saying I'm chasing every dollar I possibly can, actually it's the exact opposite. Once I built up enough cushion where I didn't have to worry about month-to-month or even year-to-year stuff my happiness went up a shit ton. I couldn't tell you how much I have in my account right now, but I know I have enough to cover whatever might pop up for a few years. My happiness comes from being able to sleep like a baby no matter how bad the economy / job market might get. I'm willing to bet a lot of the "You can only be happy with autonomy, mastery and purpose" shills are those trying to justify people working until they die for the bare minimum wages possible. We're going to pay you $10 / hour, but hey... you will have mastery and purpose. Ain't that great?
  3. Got nothing bad to say about Baker. The guy didn’t live up to the expectations of his draft spot, failed to secure 1st contract NFL QB money as a result, was relegated to a career hanger-on as at best a backup, before “earning” his way back into secure starting NFL QB status. Lately, he appears to be performing as a tier 2 starting NFL QB that a team can count on with a game on the line, something more NFL franchises than not “wish” they had.
  4. Not sure where to post this but Diego Pavia’s attorneys today have advanced their case against the NCAA to give him a 7th year of eligibility. The NCAA position appears to be so weak, they will win.
  5. No one has done shit to her. No one cares. She is grifting off another grift.
  6. But understand that THAT probably had a lot to do with the fact that your boss was banging her. And she had big tits. And you had neither quality.

  8. I thought the SEZ seats also had field level access and that's why it looks empty all the time. + the club. It was just kind of a weird thing they did with those.
  9. Another point is, for people with equivalent degrees and years of experience, just about everything else is subjective. This guy may be bald and you hate baldies, this chick may be fat, or hot, or this guy went to UT and this one to Aggy. And anyone that's lived long enough knows people with impressive academics that are professional and personal failures, or at least less capable of performing at higher or highest levels than someone with less impressive credentials. And also know people with relatively humble academics that are leaders in their field. So, it's pretty rare that "the most meritorious candidate regardless of race" is chosen. Says who? And what are those criteria?
  10. To be fair, you didn't respond to a bunch of people who actually tried to discuss your opinions. You cherry picked this one post, which came after you've had lots of chances to explain yourself.
  11. Lots of wild shit out there. This morning, I just learned about the speculation that his roommate might've been transmaxxing.
  12. Gerry said this morning that it isn't an arm or shoulder injury and it is related to the injury he suffered last season.
  13. I got passed over for an expat assignment in favor of a woman that had zero experience in the field, no previous international experience, etc. Sure I was a bit miffed but after about five minutes I was over it - except when she kept badgering me to basically do her job for her at times. That sucked. Then we had a major round of layoffs and she got canned and I kept my position. So it all worked out in the end, I guess.
  14. I mean is he really that good?
  15. I've just begun this rabbit hole. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/764_(organization)
  16. same with the bold, and I agree, it definitely felt like what he did was akin to comediens who do crowdwork. He clearly retained a position of power and advantage and had tools of the trade (rhetorically and logically, speaking) to move the debate as he wanted. I think the reason he was so good was because he was articulate and an excellent communicator (and quick thinker). I saw one video where he drew an even more provocative distinction in that he's not university or college educated and they, the bumbling speakers were. But these are kids and he was an adult with heavy experience speaking. ETA the parallel to crowdwork and what he was doing:
  17. This is intense. Episode 3 holy shit. Are these really single takes with no cuts or direction? How the heck can they do that?
  18. I think I'd classify it as Tarrytown, but I don't exactly know the Tarrytown borders. It's a really nice stone house
  19. Milwaukee is a great city, very fun visit. go find some cheese curds and a friday fish fry i like their stadium, been many times
  20. I don't remember him attributing those mistakes to lack of strength. It's losing at the point of attack. It's getting driven backwards by D-lineline 40 pounds lighter. It's an inability to move people at the goal line. Off the top of my head I remember him specifically calling that stuff out on his latest podcast breakdown.
  21. I meant the version of Shipley back when everyone used to say "he's a ghost, he doesn't really exist" stuff.
  22. hopefully the astros xray machine has some juice left in it .....
