They're only getting money off of ads if they can meter them. In a digital age where your cable company knows exactly what the fuck you're watching at any one time, the metrics show one person watching, not the other thousand people watching the stream. And if it's from OTA then they don't even have that metric.

Picked up covid somewhere ( I assume in the backend of an airplane because I otherwise avoid people) and started showing symptoms last Saturday. I never get fever or body aches, so I knew it was something beyond a cold virus. We have a stockpile of those combo Flu A/B Covid test kits. That covid line got lit up like Sark's Oline within 60 seconds. On the backside of the slope now, and probably won't die. It's still out there.

That describes literally every right wing media outlet.

Texas Football 2025 - Careening Towards the Abyss

He needs to be. He’s dog shit. Also if our RB room Is healthy Simon should be clearly the number 3 -
I've never watched a single minute of Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon or Seth Meyers, unless you count me watching the monologues that apparently got Kimmel cancelled. None of them should be silenced by the government. If a Charlie Kirk impersonator was on NBC, ABC, CBS, etc., repeating his views at 10:30 every night the government shouldn't threaten the networks' licenses over that either. The people that laugh at folks identifying the assault on America's core beliefs will eventually feel the loss of American freedoms at the hand of the government.

Beer 2025: sith_horn drinking more than the rest of us combined
utee94 replied to HenryJames's topic in Food and Travel
Yeah the swing-tops were popular with homebrewers back in the day. I've always seen it in green bottles rather than brown. The beer itself is fine if you drink it locally, but when it travels overseas it suffers from all the same issues that other lagers in green bottles do. -

I missed this yesterday. Nice to hear some alternate voices. I don't know anything about the Interfaith Alliance. Is this a fairly sane, mainstream group? https://www.keranews.org/news/2025-09-17/interfaith-religious-freedom-schools-summit-texas -
But acting greats like Kevin Sorbo, Chachi, Dean Cain and Jon Voight would just step up and save them.

And then, Sally perfected her cookie recipe. -
I had a coach who used to say that you need to master the fundamentals, so you know when you can break them. I feel like this is lost with a lot of younger QBs. They are working on all these screwed up arm angles and off platform throws and forgetting about how to make consistently accurate fundamental throws.

What the fuck is that fall away drill. It makes so much sense now watching him the last few weeks. He is doing that a lot and it may work in one on ones but in game situations, it's a terrible way to throw.

This has very little to do with Charlie Kirk, there's a discussion thread just for media cave in.

Is the ball even in that clip?

Pretty sure her first post after her announcement of taking the season off was a picture of the boyfriend So yes. Undefeated

Geez. Who’s husband did Derek fuck for them to choose that elimination for him against CT?

I often watch movies without knowing anything about them - it's kinda nice IMO to just go in with a general sense of what genre it is. I knew that this was Stephen King and the general premise and that it is one of his earlier books (first maybe?). DIdn't know it was Hoffman's kid. I enjoyed it, I'm not sure if I took much from it but I don't know how important that is anyways. Not sure I loved the ending, it felt kinda flat. Agree with the criticism of Charlie - his lack of struggle stuck out to me. Maybe that was part of the point of his character (and of course you get to see some more about his background), but generally just being a good guy who is helping everyone else out and not at a breaking point over several hundred miles of walking without rest made him feel less real as a character. And yeah man, gory.

If you find yourself on the opposite side of Henry Winkler, you are by definition in the wrong.

The FCC chair Brendan Carr says that Kimmel appeared to mislead the public and that his jokes upset people and were not funny. Appear to mislead. Upset people. Not funny. Whatever happened to the Right offending as many people as possible and then falling back to the excuse that they were only making a joke and people need to get a sense of humor? If anyone doesn't see that the Right doesn't plan to ever relinquish power, they're blind.

Schlong undefeated? Unfortunately, if her entire team and coaches thinks she’s being abused by her boyfriend, it’s probably true and she’s just too emotionally attached to him to end the relationship.

Trump was asked a question about what Pam Bondi had said about hate speech, and Trump immediately attacked the reporter. It ended with “Maybe they (DOJ) will go after you next!”. You would think something like that would garner a lot of attention. But no not really.
-
Lol no they didn’t. It went on for another 4 or 5 seasons without her.

Covid/Influenza/Black Death. 2024 and beyond

https://www.statista.com/topics/11285/long-covid-in-the-united-states/#topicOverview Prevalence of Long COVID in the United States Because there is no test for Long COVID, it is difficult to determine how many people are affected by the condition. However, recent surveys from the United States show that around 18 percent of the total population may have had Long COVID as of September 2024, with around 30 percent of those who had been infected with COVID-19 experiencing long-term symptoms from the disease. Long COVID is more common among women in the United States than men and those aged 40 to 59 years who had been infected with COVID-19 were more likely to report ever experiencing Long COVID than other age groups. The states with the highest share of people who previously had COVID-19, with symptoms lasting three months or longer are Oklahoma, Mississippi, and North Dakota. In Mississippi, up to 39 percent of those who had COVID-19 reported suffering from Long COVID. It is estimated that over 38 million people in the United States have or continue to have symptoms of Long COVID. -
