  4. Gerry and Bobby both recently said they expect Goosby to return.
  5. Hits close to home. Few weeks ago I went to Costco to get steaks to grill while watching football on the patio. $18.99/lb. NOPE. Pork Shoulders on the WSM made some delicious PP sandwiches. Froze portions and have had Kimchi Rice bowls and Quesadillas subsequently.
  6. And in War Games. And several others I’m sure. Not exactly a new concept. We get it. This movie was a complete waste of time. For those who watched it and all those who participated in making it.

  10. Drafted as of right now: Ant hill, Taaffe, Burke, Moore, Goosby, McDonald, Manny M, could happen: Wisner, Brevard, Shaw, Kanu, Guilbeau. I have no idea how many Jag type DT’s will get drafted. All 3 of the Texas guys have played somewhere between really solidly and fine and are big enough and seemingly could serve a function, but none are obviously impact guys. If you told me no chance or absolutely will on any of them I’d shrug my shoulders and say ok. Guilbeau didn’t have the leap forward I’d hoped for. If he tests well is someone going to take a shot? Maybe. Wisner would get drafted for 3rd down back/special teams. He’d be a good RB3 for a team with 2 good backs imo. That seems like 6th rounder waiting to happen. Would be rather come back for NIL? Dunno.

  14. What if we lose by 3 after outplaying them and complete and utter ref fuckery and best arky by 28 and aggy by 14? Losses are binary in that they have to be either 0 or 1 (as are wins of course) but they don’t tell the entire story, obviously. if we see the defense from the first 7 weeks of the season paired with the offense from the last 2 weeks can beat anyone in the country with average luck. this team likely isn’t good enough to win anything of importance but it is a top 10 team in the country (I think) so I’d like to see us get into the playoffs and see what happens. my top 10 (in no particular order) is: Ohio state, Indiana, Domers, Bama, Georgia, Texas, Aggy, tech, pick 2: Ole Miss, OU, Oregon, BYU, Iowa, USC, Utah, Vandy, Miami, Louisville. gun to my head I’d probably say Miss and OU from that group to round out what I think are the best 10 teams in the country this year. I’m not sure which OU that is. These aren’t rankings just what I think quality of teams are after watching everyone play at least two full games and seeing lots of bits and pieces of games with my 4 TV at all times set up.

  19. Shaggy Surly only has nice bikes.
  20. Also a misdemeanor, which is uncommon in federal court and likely viewed by at least the judge and defense as a nuisance to be disposed of. And, in your typical, relatively complex federal prosecution, the prosecution has to do months or years of investigation, generating a bunch of evidence, most of which has to be given to the defendant and the defendant then has to have some time to go through it. Then you have your pretrial motions about whether the criminal statute really fits the offense and so on. Most federal crimes are not of the simple, common-law type like assault, burglary, rape, murder. Even in this case, though, it seems the defense did some pretty serious investigation to find that the agent had received gag gifts over it. Long story short, this has no business being in federal court and everyone knew it. What's interesting to me is that a DC jury took seven hours to acquit. That tells me that the jury took the case seriously despite being obviously political. It may have been a crazy holdout situation, but I think from the questions they sent the judge, they tried pretty hard to decide if the actions really fit the definition of the crime. Final note, everyone involved had some recognition that trial time in a US District Court is a rare and precious resource. The defense doesn't really care as long as it gets its trial sometime in the millennium, but the judge for sure and the prosecution, probably, care quite a bit that 2-4 days of precious trial time are taken up by unserious, political cases.
