No. 24 Tennessee coach Josh Heupel gets 1-year contract extension through January 2030 KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee coach Josh Heupel has a one-year contract extension taking him through January 2030 ahead of the No. 24 Volunteers' season opener. Athletic director Danny White announced the extension signed Tuesday as a reward for Heupel posting a 37-15 record through his first four seasons. White credited Heupel with reviving the football program, which went 3-7 in 2020 before he was hired in January 2021. “Josh has brought Tennessee Football back to its rightful place among the nation’s elite programs, and he and his staff have fostered a positive culture within the team,” White said in a statement. “Our commitment to supporting Josh and his staff remains strong and unwavering.” Tennessee gave Heupel a big raise to $9 million a year in January 2023, an extension through the 2028 football season that put him among the highest-paid coaches in college football after an 11-2 record in 2022. The 24th-ranked Volunteers open the season Saturday in Atlanta against Syracuse. This extension keeps Heupel's pay the same. The big change is doubling his use of a university private plane or a charter flight from five to 10 for 30 hours of flight time per year. Heupel has 11 wins over Top 25 teams, which ranks sixth nationally among FBS coaches in that span and fifth in Tennessee history. He led the Vols to their first College Football Playoff berth last December. He took over during an NCAA investigation into the prior coach, Jeremy Pruitt. Heupel has a 71.2 winning percentage, which is the second-highest by a Tennessee coach in the last five decades. Only Bill Battle (39 between 1970 and 1973) and Phillip Fulmer (38 between 1993 and 1996) had more in that span. “We quickly built a resilient, player-driven culture and have enjoyed great success on and off the field, but there is still much left to do," Heupel said. The Vols have 16 SEC victories under Heupel since the start of 2022, the program's best three-year stretch since 18 between 2002 and 2004. With double-digit wins in two of three seasons, he joined Fulmer and Gen. Robert Neyland (five each) with multiple 10-win regular seasons.

As the season has moved into the late stages there has been talk in the DFW media that both Adolis and Heim are strong candidates to be non-tendered this offseason -

He was using your post as an example of what every outward MAGAt is openly endorsing these days. There's no hiding behind "he's not serious," or "I just think the economy will do better under him," or even "Harris is too liberal" anymore.
-
He also needs to start making fun of Lard Vader for being a poor.

Just like the Russian ships that hide behind maritime laws would be hard to get them before they got out of the Baltic. Not many Russian ships still in the Med with the loss of their port in Syria. Fire the drones, pick up some Volvos, etc.

Um, this comment was following a quote of me, so I assume you are directing this at me? I have no idea WTF you are even talking about, but I think you have me confused with someone else.

I struggle to watch anything with Jeff Howe... overrated and a damn beating. Agree that Howe and CJ Vogel are redundant. Gerry is great, Babers is fine as long as he's limited on talk time and weekly appearances. Coach Shipley is worthless. Bryan Erwin is great. Bobby is also worth a weekly watch. I watch a lot less OTF now though, it's definitely stale. It needs to be upgraded in both staff and content now that they have 100k subscribers. Wish "The Film Guy" was part of OTF. IT is a total shitshow not worth anyone's time. Agree Ketch and crew are worthless and actually hurt Texas -- wish Orangebloods covered aggy.

Ya know there are tons of white boy punk fascists on the UT football team. Like Clemens, Ewers is solid MAGA fuck, Manning doing the little Trump dance in the Florida game. Quit giving them a free pass. They know exactly what they are supporting (and voting for, if they voted), no less than the people getting their faces lunched on by leopards. What evidence is there that they will mature into non-fascists? -- Near zero. That's just excuse making and give unwarranted free pass. -- What current or former white college football players or white NFL'ers are speaking out against MAGA? A handful? Zero? There was that NFL punter who got arrested for his MAGA protested and fired. I rarely even watch a UT game anymore, other than a playoff. Literally do not give much of a shit if UT Fascists beat the Georgia Bulldog Fascist or Ohio State Buckeye Fascists. Fuck any UT player that supports MAGA fascism. That they guys populate a supposedly top-tier university and are worshipped shows the sheer failure of our education systems, the cult of celebrity, etc.

My God an A&M loss at 25 point favorite would be the best early Christmas present ever. The wailing and gnashing of teeth would be epic. -
anyone hitting The Pixies next week? gonna be rough getting up for the game in the morning but that'll be a fun 1-2 punch

I forsee this team being top 10 and probably top 5. Timo, who knows if he'll be back, but there is room for a transfer, new recruit come Spring.

That and which ever offense "calms down" first. In every first game the D starts out much more "game ready" than offenses. Typically, that evens out some time around the mid to end if the first, start of the second. Largely, it is related to QB play but WRs drop passes and RBs miss lanes too. End of 1st OSU - 7 Texas - 0 Half-time Texas 14 OSU - 7 For a final of Texas 28 - OSU 21 For obvious reasons I think the Texas offense gets more settled ealier but I suspect home field advantage helps propel OSU into the end zone first. I think momentum swings OSU early then by second quarter leans heavy Texas. I'm not making a call on the 3rd. Just not.

Between this and the attempt to make flag planting a criminal offense Ohio State sure seems like a bunch of pussies.
