Also, I have not heard anyone say thank you.

Two straight games giving up no hits through six? I will allow it. Need to improve on that, though.

RIP on that next Philly road trip, buddy.

As a retired military officer, I'd much rather leave the enemy with a sense of dread and a question of "how the fuck did they do that?" than get praise in the papers. When the press asked FDR where the bombers in Doolittle raid launched from, he simply said "our new base in Shangri-La." OPSEC continues even after the mission is complete, meathead (Hegseth).

Just popping in to remind y'all that Brent is a bitch. -
Heston would have been great. He'd have pressed Spielberg let him lasso the shark after shark eats Quint and ride on the shark back to the dock to a hero's welcome from the town.

A poorly attended inauguration has to be called the most attended ever. Maybe I’m giving myself too much credit, but I’d like to think that if my boss asked me to go on tv and tell a bunch of obvious lies for no reason at all… I probably would lose all respect for that person and quit. Like if CDC made Sark go on tv and claim that actually we won the last three national championships in football. And if you disagree then you’re an idiot who just hates Texas. But this isn’t something silly like college athletics. It’s the most powerful person in the world.

no offense taken, completely agree

Morey's perfect team, all the players will be interchangeable, will only shoot from the outside, and there will be no thought given to team chemistry or how the pieces compliment each other as this is all about the + - chart. They just need to get rid of Drummond and Embed. No needs for players who might actually touch the paint.

they mention it in the JAWS 50 doc I believe. Howard Sackler brought up the USS Indianapols story as a way to explain Quint's hatred of sharks. spielberg asked Milius to write something up and Milius wrote pages and Shaw said let me work on it/condensed it after reading it.

Dallas Cowboys 2024 Season Thread -- Jerrah the Asshat Rides Again

Oh, the humanity... LOL https://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/cowboys/2025/06/26/george-pickens-pittsburgh-youth-camp-cancel/84370315007/ George Pickens is catching flak in Pittsburgh again, even as he's catching passes from his new quarterback. The wide receiver, who was traded to the Dallas Cowboys in early May after three volatile seasons with the Steelers, was scheduled to be the star attraction at the George Pickens Youth Football Camp at Pittsburgh's Highmark Stadium this coming weekend. Despite previously telling campers that he would still attend the event even after changing teams, Pickens has now decided not to participate at all, according to an email sent to attendees' families this week. The camp has been postponed until July 20 and will now feature Pittsburgh tight end Pat Freiermuith and possibly other Steelers players. The organizers are not offering refunds. -

Apple anything. That company tracks their products like no other company does. But yes, all a detective has to do is care. "Hey Apple, do you have a few locations of the tag which were stolen?" That's about all you need to do to find the buyer. He will reveal the seller, and that guy will reveal who sold it to him and so on... -

From what I understand, the Benn contract has a $1mil cap hit for 2025 no matter what. The bonuses, if/when earned, get forwarded to the 2026 cap.

They (rankings people) usually seem to default to returning production with a sprinkle of what was done in the portal because transfers are more unpredictable, so I have a tough time thinking it will be us. LSU is probably the right answer even with some of the big names they are losing.

The state leaders accept your challenge. -
I completely understand the skepticism surrounding the MacArthur memo and Japan's willingness to accept virtually the same terms of surrender that eventually were imposed after Hiroshima, but the more important point that's still relevant today is that it was well understood by all sides that Japan had lost the war long, long before Hiroshima. There was no strategic justification for the civilian atrocities we inflicted and we're teaching a whitewashed version of history when we allow people to believe that the war was going to rage on without the atomic bombs. We are proud of it when we should be ashamed.
