  1. Past hour
  2. Some interesting commentary about Deandre Moore's confidence on yesterday's Coffee & Football. Linked to start at 34:56 and ends about the 37 minute mark. Hope he backs it up.
  3. Your 'analysis' is a masterclass in economic illiteracy. Death spiral? Hyperbole isn't data. Fed doesn't set rates? Tell that to the bond market. Ignoring money supply? They track M2 through their weekly H.6 reports. DSGE frameworks explicitly analyzes money growth. 'No one should print money'? Congrats, you've invented barter. You are out of your depth Neo-goldbug. No offense intended.
  4. I know Jerry loves the drama but I wonder if the player holdouts are in on it too? This is absurd
  5. Yeah, hits between tackles and downfield were where I was frustrated by 2024 defense related to FF...need more "ball stripping" going on from players not named Hill & Simmons. (Have fun with that phrase Surly)
  6. I also don’t have any statistics to back it up, but just watching last season it feels like we had a lot of forced fumbles that we didn’t recover, more so than usual. I’d be curious if anyone had stats and whether my gut is right or completely wrong.
  7. Cabrito National Monument? In...
  8. I don’t have numbers in front of me, but Simmons and Hill combined for 7 FF. That’s a pretty good start, if repeated.
  9. Not me, but neighbor. His Dad was Jewish Mafia, in charge of pinball machines in Dallas. Had a huge garage - 4 cars big, at least - with 10 or 12 pinballs at any given time. Kids' bedroom was at back and above the garage. We - me, him, and his little bro - would hit the games, with the bells stuffed with a rag or whatever. Sometimes the rags would fall out, the bells would go apeshit, and the Dad would be in the side door of the garage in about ten seconds, strop in hand. We would run screaming into the kids' room and try to get under the beds, not always successfully. The Dad was an equal opportunity strop-wielder, and I got my share of big red welts.
  10. So how did Texas and OSU defenses rank in turnovers created in 2024? Seemed like 2024 Texas defense was not good at causing fumbles... Any predictions on whether Texas 2025 defense will be better at generating more turnovers?
  11. You missed the word defense, but we can infer. This certainly portends well for Texas regarding August 30th.
  12. I’m a good printer.
  13. Narrator: Eventually the fires will get you. No place is safe from climate change.
  14. Houston summer seems mild because the highs aren't particularly high (largely due to scattered rain each afternoon). But the overnight lows are the 3rd highest on record (behind '22, '23, and just ahead of '24, so not a great trend). So this is actually 7th hottest on record (thru july 22): https://spacecityweather.com/has-it-been-a-fairly-mild-summer-in-houston-the-answer-may-surprise-you/
  15. ...as are most Texans, apparently.
  16. fuxk, peña out fuck fuck fuck
