Watched some of the game last night(had it on in the bar) and my God that gata first half was atrocious! Will Billy even be their HC when we play them in 2 weeks?
-
Frustrating game. Thankfully I could not watch the whole thing so I was spared the angst. Auburn could be pretty good but, so many mistakes and questionable coaching decisions Ugh
-
Tiny nit pick. Either give #31 minimum of 15 carries or none. Hes electric.
-
Sooners struggled against Auburn's meh defense. If things don't improve our defense is gonna have a field day with them.
-
Didn't get to watch due to bartending, but saw the highlights. Glad to see Arch making better throws and finally getting his confidence back. Now let's carry that momentum to the swamp and beat Florida!

Terrific post. I’ve found that reviewing history not only helps identify ways to resist, it helps reduce some of the anxiety about what’s happening today. When I watched a show about Teddy Roosevelt successfully took on Rockefeller, Carnegie and other mega rich people to get America back on track it gave me hope a figure could emerge to lead the reforms against the current billionaire class and grifting crooked politicians, ie President.

There will probably be a stack of moving boxes by his office door this morning when he arrives.

Guess I can't read a schedule. *L*

Hopefully we get some of the injured playmakers (Baxter, Tre, the Stanford WR) on offense back against Florida. Offense has potential to be a lot better still
-
That's a great summation. The offense laid an egg in Columbus and was so pedestrian for the next two weeks, with Arch looking way off and several key talents sidelined. For that matter, as solid as our defense was, the lack of a weekly sack party was unsettling after so much buildup. Given all this, I think many of us longtime fans have a rather uneasy felling about where things actually stand. Maybe that was always the likeliest outcome following an offseason in which some folks really asked if this team might beat 2005's, but to see us look so meh on one side of the ball has been buzzkill. While last night was a long step in the right direction, let's not forget that was a home game against an 0-3 Sam Houston squad that under no circumstances had a chance to beat us. I was a Coffee & Football guy nearly every weekday for months leading into the season, mostly to get recruit updates from Gerry. Recruiting is the one major part of college sports I can't really watch for myself, so accurate coverage of that topic intrigues me much more than game analysis. I'm no coach, but I'm content with my own ability to tell what did or didn't happen on the field of play.

We will struggle, but I predict a win. BYE is a good program but they are beatable.

Good catch. My reading of the index on DCTF was faulty. To your point, ain't nobody with a brain looking at the result and thinking Ganado is ripe for the picking.

Tiney hands.

We were the most injury bitten team in the league so not surprising. Feels like the last few years that has been the case. Houston has the best medical district in the country, but the Astros have some of the worst medical staff in the league imo
