Could this be the craziest coaching carousel of all time?

Michigan and Penn State both stumbled ass backwards into decent hires. -

He might be a bit long in the tooth, but his probably "better" at the job itself than Moore and will be a great 3 or 4 year stopgap to get Michigan behind all of this... Now, its time to fire the AD after an "internal" review regarding this shitshow and with a new HC in place that we all know is a short term answer.. -
This was discussed in a different thread a few weeks back. I'm definitely going to watch it. I'd watch Kate Hudson watch paint dry. Not a musical fan, but this isn't a traditional musical.

He old, but he's a culture guy. Fix the Michigan mess, install a system, leave it to a successor -
I don't think Cooper is allowed to play but even if he could, it'd be dumb to throw him out there with zero college practices

OMG your avatar. So good.

Especially that Dino Crocetti paisan.

Would have been a great hire in 2015. -
Pretty sure both those dudes parents were immigrants.

He was one of the 15 best prospects in the draft imho. Elite bat speed and power and doesn’t have a launch angle problem or a plate discipline issue. He will also have defensive value. It’ll boil down to his swing and miss against elite pitching but he could be a star.

Isn't there a rule where you can't play in a game the same year as your last year in high school? In previous years the players can practice, but that's it.
-
Reasons to play this game: 1. Practice 2. See how young guys can do 3. Sports are for entertainment At the same time, I agree that you have to be smart about it. No QB run plays and fewer long-developing routes. Don't play anyone who gets dinged up. Maybe rotate a little extra on defense. Anything to avoid injuries while still giving guys meaningful experience.

I gotta ask this: who sucked whose dick in exchange for this freezing temperature IQ fascist fuck being admitted to Duke?
-
Lulz, Preston Stone! Has there ever been a highly recruited QB from a private Texas HS who turned out to be worth a shit?
-
Anyone even put eyes on the eh Taylor barrel proof rye.

As I understand it, bowl games don't affect RS status.

Contact balance has been an issue for the Texas RB room for 2 years. Baxter had some moments as a freshman, but they were few and far between. Biggest issue for Baxter was the ability to stay healthy. He went out with a slight injury in his first game and it was not the only game. Felt like he was never a 100%. It could just be bad luck, but it is hard to put faith in a RB that has trouble staying healthy. I hope for him it was just a case a bad luck and he can stay healthy and fulfill his potential at another school.

Game Week Thread Citrus Bowl, Dec 31st - Texas vs Michigan.

I agree. Michigan will play with intensity and a chip. And we, per usual, will need a 4th quarter comeback. -
All accounts were 12 - 16% returns. Three years of this and I retire at 51.

I scored big this year. I got a couple new patagonia fleece jackets with explicit instructions to toss out my old school north face one that acts as a magnet for cat and dog hair. I got a Made In griddle that I just seasoned. Big score was a brisket BBQ class at Goldies Already told my wife that she can expect me to come away from the class with a need for a smoker. Wife made out pretty well. Ralph Lauren purse, a 1967 first press of The Master and Margarita by Harper and Roe, and a legit oasis los angeles tshirt with the pop up store tag because she wants the original because reasons. We went to a chicago and LA show; I wasn’t going to wait in the pop up store line in hollywood after spending 4 hours doing that in chicago. It was harder to find the oasis shirt than the book from 1967.

Saw a Christmas morning screening at the Drafthouse yesterday. Enjoyed it a lot. Hugh's so damn talented & his Lightning character is a lovable sad sack with a dark past who can't let go of his silly dream. Hudson's performance is probably the best work she's ever done. It's not Amadeus. Or Rocket Man. And they took some liberties w/ the characters in order to punch the story up. I wouldn't recommend watching the 2008 documentary of the same name because the real Lightning & Thunder (Mike & Claire) were nowhere near as likeable as Hugh and Kate's characters. And Jim Belushi has lost so much weight I did a doubletake when he first appeared on screen. It's got a nice mix of humor, nostalgia, and heart string tugging to cover all the bases. It might be worth the price of admission just to hear them jamming out Crunchy Granola Suite in their garage.
