  1. Past hour
  2. My favorite part about the Rapture is telling people who believe in it that it's not in the Bible.
  3. Yeah but without all the teams we really didn't care about playing like Houston, SMU, Tech, and Baylor.
  4. That's all cool, Nicole. Personally, I can't call myself a Christian because I don't believe in any of the superstitious stuff, like a literal God, miracles, being raised from the dead, and all that jazz. Feels too much like magical thinking. Sorry, I'm a rationalist in that way. That said, I do consider myself a "philosophical Christian," a term I just made up in my head that may or may not exist. The core message is easy as shit to get behind: love God (I substitute that with Nature, or if you prefer, the Creation or Universe or maybe just the Big Bang, the Multiverse) and love your fellow human, which I will admit is becoming increasingly difficult. At the very least, I strive not to actively harm, hate, or exclude others based solely on immutable and defining characteristics. The Golden Rule. It's really, really basic stuff that only toddlers should struggle to understand.
  5. If Cignetti wants to win a National Championship, he'll listen to UF. He can go 8-4 at IU every year and ride off into the sunset. It looks like he's building a B1G contender at the expense of also-rans WI, IA, IL, etc. He'll arrive if/when he beats tOSU, PSU, UO, or USC.
  6. It's 2025. Assume the absolute worst of people. You will very rarely be incorrect.
  7. You should be more concerned that homeboy line drives all his kicks.
  8. I think it will be Arkansas but if aggy had to do two trips to DKR, it would be awesome just to watch their aggy heads explode.
  9. Kind of a nothing trailer but I guess
  10. The SWC died so that we could all join get back together 30 years later.
  11. The last sentence on the second page about some teams having to return to the same venue in '26.....the implosion on the farm if one of them is Aggy in Austin will be glorious.
  12. Update: Trending down since this post. Suspicions of Stonks thread curse may be confirmed. Check back on this stock in 3 years. Maybe then it will go up.
  13. The last line in the SEC press release is targeted directly at ATM or Arkansas, or both. Not saying only them, but certainly at least one of them. They can both eat shit, regardless.
  14. Girliepop, Christian nationalists don't let women sit at the head of the table. Not in any real sense.
  15. I know shit about this, but it would be an interesting case study if he wants to be at Texas but can’t/won’t turn down the Oregon money. The hope, I’m sure, would be that Texas matches but they haven’t, so what value does a player put on being where they want to be? Are there hometown/dream team discounts in this space?
  16. These cuts were indeed made when the notes were turned in for redemption, which meant gold back in those days. The Republic of Texas did everything they could to default on these obligations, and avoided redeeming them. As a result, these sold on the market for just a few cents on the dollar, to any speculator who wanted to bet on them being paid eventually. When Texas joined the Union, the USA figured that it was not acceptable to default on obligations of what would now be part of the Union, and the money (gold!) was found to finally redeem them, and the speculators came out very well in the end. Nearly all of these are cancelled, but not all the cancellations had a piece cut out like that, the nicest ones just had the cuts in the note, but not into multiple parts, or pieces removed, etc. A really nice one is coming up for sale in a couple weeks, this shows the full note design. https://currency.ha.com/itm/obsoletes-by-state/texas/austin-tx-republic-of-texas-10-jan-1-1840-cr-a5-medlar-25-pmg-choice-about-unc-58-epq/a/3599-20137.s
  17. Each school playing every other school home and away every two years is so great. It reminds me of what was great about the Big 12 starting out with getting Nebraska every two years. Interesting that they're saying 2026 schedules have cases where the teams might play in the same location in 2025 and 2026. I bet that's what happens with Arkansas coming to DKR twice. Home/away getting determined by OOC rivalry home and aways is also interesting as that affects Florida and Georgia greatly since they're already losing a home game every other year for the neutral site game.
  18. That shit was PATHETIC
  19. I still get Seneca Wallace PTSD from time-to-time.
  20. I think it's fired/no I resigned US Attorney down there.
  21. Bout time we get a hometown discount.
  22. That is going to be really helpful. I look forward to the next 3 pages of rehashing the same old arguments.
