  1. Past hour
  2. That's been my golf game the last few months prior to yesterday. Solid off the tee with good distance. Decent long irons. But struggling to capitalize on short approach shots. Chipping has been suspect. And putting fell off a cliff. I was averaging under 30 putts/round last year. Up to over 33 this year. Not a lot of three putts, but missing makable putts constantly. So, for the strokes I've picked up off the tee and from the short grass, I've given them back around the green. I also have the inevitable 2-3 blow up holes per round. I feel like I'm a 5-6 hdcp tee to green, but have been a 20 hdcp around the green and putting. It's all about putting in the work, which I haven't. I'm hoping work slows down in the next year so I can try to turn that corner to a consistent single-digit handicap.
  3. Hey, leave me out of it.
  4. A buddy's kid played there but I think he's out of eligibility. I need to go check his previous roster photos. Those are awesome.
  5. I think we can make a reasonable case that arch’s future heisman is due in large part to livingstone being on the field either by making plays or drawing coverage. So really as long as he isn’t on the bench, he will be the real mvp.
  6. That's a matter of opinion.
  7. So we missed the jobs number "slightly" by 34%. I "slightly" missed my goal of benching 300 lb in HS by 32%. (Hey, I was a 105 lb wrestler.)
  8. Six decades of contributing to what was great about America - educational programs, cultural programs, outreach to underserved communities and amplification of voices who were previously ignored. All gone, and now leaving NPR/PBS and their hundreds of member stations to try and figure out a way forward without a coordinating/funding body. Everyone who voted for this and cheers it can go, well, you know. None of this is making us a better country.
  9. And that recruiter's name? Frank Stallone errr, something that sounds like Jazz Lane
  10. cockroaches will be the last living thing on the planet before it's swallowed up by the sun
  11. Plus over the last 3 months we’ve lost 24,000 manufacturing jobs- wasn’t that the motivation for tariffs? Not even one year in and he’s driven a strong economy off a cliff
  12. Americus Diamond radio ads: "don't buy fake diamonds, because they're made in Chinese factories that pollute the air and use lots of electricity... instead buy these blood diamonds"
  13. I mean he did marry the hotter one at least!
  14. Buddy, you better hope Arch edges out Jaggy McJ in the Heisman vote or you're never going to live it down.
  15. I get it and I'm just being Surly. Few things in golf beat the feeling of a pure struck low iron. I'm nothing special at the game, but could always hit low irons pretty damn good(would promptly give away anything I gained around the green).
  16. Great program at an outstanding school. Hey, make it fun...and do something your kids can laugh at down the road. Yeah Gavin the boy from Texas would be my winner out of that bunch, but half-and-half is in the conversation.
  17. I've never understood - do the individual schools get to pick or even have a say in who they play in the conference challenges? Or is it some schedule making dork in the back office of Birmingham, on the phone with some nerd in Charlotte, deciding who plays who
  18. Used to work with a guy who's Houston-area vehicle constantly alternated between belching white or black smoke. The vehicle not the guy. I asked him how he passed the inspection, and he replied that there were locations that would pass any vehicle for an extra $20. He also complained about the reach of govt in our lives.
  19. huh just imagine "The reason for the move is listed as a “lesser security transfer” (code 308) according to a transfer document I reviewed, which is completely inappropriate of for inmates who are in the early stages of serving their sentences, according to another source. “This is such obvious corruption. I have never seen this before,” said another person at BOP familiar with the situation. The unit that approves waivers for sex offenders to be moved to minimum security camps is the Designation and Sentence Computation Center near Dallas. Currently, the senior deputy assistant director is Rick Stover, a career BOP employee who speaks frequently with White House officials."
  20. what the hell else could it have been? ffs.
  21. That’s the fun part - they’ll just say none of them, and if 10-20% get fought over in court and the government loses, that’s still 80-90% that don’t have citizenship
