A coach will never give that long, but I agree should be more than 30 seconds in a blowout.

UK about to blow one against USCe, pretty much had control of the game throughout but blowing it about the last 5 minutes.

What a shame.

If you were ranked last night, you probably still are because apparently every ranked team lost.  Shocks were no better, lost to fucking Temple.

Quick name 5 teams with more wins than Temple.

#18 Seton Hall won (but upset #5)
#2 Baylor (blech) won

#9 FSU won

Otherwise, being ranked is a curse. All part of Shaka’s plan!

This is a year of epic parity but I don’t think there is overwhelming talent this year. I think we have a shitload of mediocre teams relative to the last decade and not any dominant teams.

have to believe that this is a year where a mid major is going to win the tourney.

This may be Gonzaga's best chance at a title as there is really no great or dominant team and they've looked the most balanced of all the "top" teams.  Duke is Duke and they'll hover around the Top throughout the season, Baylor looks damn good, maybe they can trade out Drew for Mulkey come NCAAT time.

Michigan Iowa on FS1 is a damn entertaining game. Nonstop up and down the court. 47-43 at the half.

Auburn will lose.

How do we give up 90 to Missouri and hold Auburn under 50.  #bi-polargata

Should happen more often, team plays better when he's not there.

I agree in principle that this might be their best shot but Im not sold on them either. The blowout loss to Michigan looked ok at the time because Michigan looked like the best team in the country but they are not. Oregon OT win also looks good, but Oregon also is like "WTF". Arizona was a good road win yes, and Washington was a decent road win too but neither of those were statement victories and they look as vulnerable to me as every other team in the country and their defense is...well....its not great.

Another streak they really want to break.

Vanderbilt has lost five straight, three of those since learning that the SEC's leading scorer in Aaron Nesmith was probably lost for the rest of the season because of an injured right foot.

The Commodores also lost their 22nd straight conference game during the regular season, a skid that started under former coach Bryce Drew. That ties the second-longest skid in SEC history, matching Alabama's 22-game streak between 1960 and 1970, and is just two away from matching Sewanee's mark of 24 consecutive losses between 1938 and 1940.

From beating Kentucky to never getting another HC gig in just a couple months, impressive.

Walter McCarty has been fired as Evansville's coach after an investigation revealed additional allegations of off-court misconduct, the university announced Tuesday.

Later Tuesday, Evansville announced the hiring of Todd Lickliter as McCarthy's replacement. Lickliter will coach the Purple Aces on Wednesday night against Drake.

McCarty was initially put on administrative leave by the university on Dec. 26, after reports of alleged sexual misconduct and violations of Evansville's Title IX policy.

In a statement announcing the decision, which is effective immediately, the school said it had received additional reports of off-court misconduct with members of the "campus community'' during McCarty's tenure of less than two seasons. It also noted that McCarty had previously participated in a training program about unacceptable behavior.

"While the investigation of potential Title IX violations will continue under University policies, UE has decided that, based on the facts uncovered thus far, it is necessary to terminate Mr. McCarty's employment immediately," the school said in a statement. "There is no place at UE for any behavior by any University employee or student that jeopardizes the safety and security of others."

In a separate memo sent to members of the Evansville community obtained by ESPN, university president Christopher M. Pietruszkiewicz said that as part of the ongoing investigation, the school found that McCarty attempted to improperly influence witnesses.

McCarty finishes his career at Evansville with a record of 20-25.
