Your unpopular music opinions
Not sure if it's unpopular or not, but I know they get shit on a bunch. I love the Counting Crows. Granted, I haven't listened to much anything after the 2nd album. The first 2 are great imo. Adam Duritz is a fantastic lyricist/songwriter. If all you know is Mr. Jones, I suggest doing a deeper dive

2022-23 Houston Rockets Thread - One More Season of Suckage
Things seem to be going well over on Polk St. Silas singling out Sengun on a team full of people that don't play D is ridiculous. Benching him while still only down 5 is hilarious. I know we want to lose and I know Silas isn't the guy, but what a fucking dipshit.

Lulz. I haven't seen one Texas fan give one single fuck about where the 1st game against aggy will be. Who gives a shit?

I think it's hilarious that the guy Bienemy just embarrassed in the second half of the Superb Owl just got a HC gig.

Worst Cars Of Your Childhood
This has sent me down a rabbit hole of searching for all our old cars. Not sure of years but here's a rough list: We had an burnt-fish orange (fitting) Honda Civic hatchback similar to this: White Chevrolet Chevette which we eventually sold to a neighbor for $75. Coincidentally that summer I also bought a car that summer for $75. A fucking RC car (Kyoto Rocky 4x4) lol We also went through a couple Oldmobiles. Think one was a Delta 88 in a hideous puke green, then a slightly better Cutlass Supreme in Silver. I fucked that one up by not waxing it properly. Dad wasn't happy. Then we started getting into a Japanese phase. Nissan Maxima was a great car. Auto seatbelts and it talked "Door, is ajar" so I won't include it per the thread title. My mom drove a Nissan Stanza. It was ok, just very basic interior...like bottom of the line My dad at some point said he always wanted a Ford Thunderbird. So he got one. Not a classic one, not even the kinda cool re-make they did. Yep, this version

Huge Piece of Shit and alleged Woman Abuser Chris Beard has been hired at Mississippi
That's not true at all. He also incessantly posts about the lack of portal additions in the recruiting/football threads.

Game #12 P.B. - #6 Texas @ Texas Tech, 8pm, ESPN (Tech's Second Super Bowl of the week)
Yeah, Hunter and Mitchell are zeros right now. Did we promise a starting spot to Mitchell while recruiting him? He doesn't do anything. I realize he only played 10 minutes, but I think those would be better served coming off the bench using his athleticism. Start Carr, Rice, Cunningham, Allen, Disu Second group: Mitchell, Bishop, Hunter and Morris

2022-23 Houston Rockets Thread - One More Season of Suckage
I know we want them to lose for draft purposes, but fuck last night was a kick in the nuts. Completely fell apart down the stretch. You expect a young team to make dumb ass mistakes especially in crunch time, but EG even getting that close to Fox was a bonehead move.

Game #10 P.B. - BIG MONDAY - #5 Texas @ #9 Kansas; 8pm ESPN
It's amazing we even made this a game with the way we played in stretches. Tyrese Hunter had a night to forget. Travel TO, get burned for a lay up then another TO. That lead to like a 7-0 run and a timeout. Rice should starts over Hunter.

My sister mentioned this place to me as well. Hell it's worth it for the price alone. That's about 1/2 of what we paid a couple weeks ago.- Poker Face on Peacock
Started it last night and will continue. Solid start. I agree with some that her voice/character is very specific...but if it fits the role, like this and Russian doll, she's fine. She's a "type" for sure.- 2023 RB Cedric Baxter Jr.

Was wondering how 11 of his 13 rebounds were offensive. lol- Concerts you are attending
Fuck. Yes for the Frog Brigade!! That'll be fucking great out on the lawn at White Oak. Got tix for Grace Potter Feb 24. It's a benefit show for the American Heart Association being put on by a friend of a friend who passed away at 46 from a heart attack.- Job hunting - A different kind of happy ending
I was in sales/account management for a pro sports team, but my skills are transferable to any industry. I'm mainly looking into O&G in some capacity, Commercial RE, and IT/SaaS/Tech...potentially Insurance as well, although I'm not currently licensed.- Job hunting - A different kind of happy ending
Been following this thread and I feel for everyone going through the process. And yes, its fucking ridiculous. Job after job that I apply for that I'm 100% qualified for end up not even getting a sniff at. The auto-reject emails are comical at this point. Most recently went through 2 interviews with a company...went well, I thought. 2 emails (1 "thank you" email and 1 "update") following up with them have gone un-answered. Just ghosted. Like wtf? I was with a co for 19 years until 2021 and have bounced between doing some contract work and working for 6 months for a company that had to furlough me because they were running out of start up $ Anyone looking to hire sales/biz dev/account management folks in Houston? Hit me up!!- The Last of Us coming to HBO
That 1 hour felt like 3 episodes. Fucking great.- TexMex
Exxon station on Shepherd, between Washington and I-10 (just over the tracks heading N.) I think it's the same people that do the truck by W. Alabama...same name at least. It's a little more ($3/taco) but I think the quality is much better than the truck. I usually opt for the spicy beef or chicken fajita quesadilla($6) with frijoles and cilantro/onions. It's basically a giant taco.
