SEC Catch-all Thread
Old Groucho Marx line from his early-50s show, "You Bet Your Life": Groucho: Well, Mr. Smith, are there any little Smiths running around your house? Smith: Yes, Groucho, we have 13 children. Groucho: Thirteen? Smith: I love my wife very much, Groucho. Groucho: I love my cigar, too, but I take it out every once in a while.

SynTex seats are a synthetic, leather-like upholstery material used by Kia that combines synthetic materials to offer durability, a soft feel, and resistance to tears and stains, though some users report issues with dye transfer or oily smudges. Amen, brother--where would the world be without syntex?

It can't get here fast enough, and when it does, nobody in their right mind will classify it as an accident.

"Ari Wasserman has never completed in any real sport at any real level in his life. " Not so fast, my friend. Are you not familiar with the renowned sport of competitive eating? This asshole lost the Mustard Belt to Joey Chestnut in last June's famed Nathan's Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Contest when Chestnut downed 70.5 dogs in ten minutes. Two things for the record: One, Joey Chestnut is neither related to nor acquainted with Joey Freshwater, and, two, Wasserman didn't actually participate in this official International Federation of Competitive Eating (IFOCE)-sanctioned competition, although he looks like he could be a star.

I always heard it phrased to accent the B-sound alliteration: "Couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle." But then, I've been known to put the ac-CENT on the wrong syl-LAH-ble.

May 21, 2010--Throwing the ball back to the pitching mound may be the simplest part of a catcher's job, but it's got former Texas Rangers catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia stumped. Physically, he can make the toss, but something in his psyche just won’t let him make the throw, says Dr. Michael Lardon, who is a psychological consultant for Major League Baseball. "When you first start off playing a sport, it's physical -- but at the higher level it becomes disproportionally mental," he said. A mechanical glitch like this can become a persistent unconscious response. In addition to working with sports psychologists, Saltalamacchia has changed his grip on the baseball and is using a tap-tap-throw rhythm for his tosses to the mound, tapping the ball twice against his glove before the throw, according to the Associated Press. So far, so good. The catcher made it through an entire game with only one inaccurate throw on Monday. Tap, tap, Arch.- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
Well, maybe he should try throwing it through this--swinging--and on the run. They say it worked for some guy named Sammy Baugh . . .- Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again
