Is that different than this model?

I was so happy to see these three guys freed at the end of “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom”.

I guess that all of that time in the cave ended up stunting their growth.

I’m in Denver this weekend for family reasons and fucked up and stopped at guitar store.  A used Guild D-140 that spoke to me is coming home.  Seriously good guitar for what I paid for it.

This is a sub $500 guitar (used), nothing to envy, but it’s a solid mahogany/spruce dread that sounds and plays really good.

It’s gonna replace my cheap, old black Takamine that was my only guitar for a long time while kids were little.  The one I put them to bed with.  My daughter asked if she could have it and I’m giving it to her.

Nothing you've said here disputes my original premises.

Consistency is also clutch.  We can always count on you for a good bump.  Like a a horse dealer.

That’s interesting, it’s so close to almost just a Les Paul but definitely has a tele shape.

another random algo guitar company, in the more dano/fano realm -

never heard of ruby guitars before but this is kinda cool. Love the grain on pic 3

Can y’all recommend any guitar shops in Seattle?  I’m heading there on a trip soon and figured I would take a look around while there.

Any recommendations for stuff to see or places to eat are also welcome.

The Jimi Hendrix gravesite is probably further than I want to go.  I would consider the Bruce Lee gravesite though.

I guess they sold out.  There were only a few left, and I posted it here as soon as I saw it

They were $139, which is crazy cheap.

I might call and try to finagle that pricing.  What do you use them for, toms?

Yeah, I think that's the most common use.  But pretty good on Leslie (pair, obviously) and guitar cabinets.

An endorsement far more credible than mine:  Ian Mclagan walked into a session and saw a pair of 421 at 90 degrees on a Leslie.  He lit up and turned to engineer.  "Finally!  An engineer who knows how to mic a B3!"

Heh.  I had the chance to record him once, and I asked him what other engineers had used on his Leslie.  "Oh, just cram a couple of mics up there."  So I used 57s.

One time at the old Redrum I was singing into a 58 and saw Leslie's asshole at a 90 degree angle.

This rock & roll lifestyle is not what I thought it would be.

If you saw the movie “Rock Star” with Mark Wahlberg, specially the scene where he wakes up from some bender and sees the “chick” from the night before standing up to pee, I would say this rock & roll lifestyle is going according to plan.

One of these arrived today for that new Guild.  Anyone ever install one before?

No but I had one and didn’t love it. Switched to an Anthem. But plenty of dudes on AGF dig them.

Everything on their site looks like I’m not worthy to touch it.

That 1954 Strat is almost as much as my first house.

Oh they have plenty of normal stuff too, but definitely go and check out the candy there
