That Rizzo At bat last night was the whole turning point of the game.

Yeah & one guy responded that that strike call was missed because Rizzo stands on top of the plate. So fucking what? It's an obvious strike no matter where the batter is in the box.

Umps who let shit like that & framing affect their calls are absolutely not even remotely doing their jobs.

  • This postseason has become more sentimental for me and my wife's family.  My father in law is the biggest Astros fan I know.  He watches every game without fail, even DVRing them if he can't watch liv

Yep. It made Dusty have to use 3 relievers instead of 2. Framber would have pitched the 7th, without the extra 20 pitches after that missed strike out.

100% he was pitching the 7th. He was steam rolling !!!

That seems hard to believe for a right fielder. that’s SS and CF type numbers on defense.

I’m excited to see if Jake can find his batting stroke up here

he has to cut down on strikeouts

Had some Ken Giles flashbacks yesterday and not in the good way.

Oh well, go get 'em today.

Too soon.

wasn’t Presley 1,2,3 Wednesday ? Against the best team in the NL ?

Keep working Siri. Easy guy to root for

He really is and a great defensive player.

It's unfortunate he can't hit. I had hope that he was a better hitter based on what he did last season although it was a very small sample.

yeah that was the dingleberry we signed for no apparent reason lol

Siri is so good defensively but he can't hit. Some of his at bats are so bad.

he flashed .300 last year in his call up. So I wouldn’t say he can’t hit but maybe you’re a baseball expert

He has very quick hands and power when he connects. I hope tears up AAA

In 46 at bats.

Siri's approach has not been good this season in a much larger sample. He is still relatively young so there's still hope.

I’m glad Diaz didn’t have to pull an IL stint

Dubòn did great as a replacement. Hit .417/.533/.750 in those 5 games. Also was very good defensively

I guess you just can't post without being an absolute dick. That's fine but you might as well get used to people around here coming back at you when you act like that for no reason. Fuck off with the college baseball bullshit. I've probably watched more MLB, college, and Astros baseball than you and your boyfriend combined (nttawwt). I watch every Astros game and I'll probably post in this thread more now, since it bothers you so much. And I'm not talking about throwing Neris out there as the new closer. My response was to a question about today, not the rest of the season, and I wasn't talking to you - but of course you couldn't resist twisting it. I could see using him as a spot closer with favorable matchups when needed due to workloads, etc.

And you're homophobic. Good to know!

Yes with 2 Ks.  But he's sucked all year except that game you see.

Spoiler

I'm concerned his K rate is down but the inability of people to roll with the ups and downs of the long season is annoying

Also he fucking sucks against the Yankees in his career....regular season and playoffs. They own his ass

He’s been a great pick up

Not off to a good start with these umps

Wow. Yordan should've been rang up too on that one.

This should be a fun night

Meyers looked a little rusty there

Castro gonna call for the plunkage of Donaldson next time up

Jake should have had that...and would have made Donaldson look even more like a clown.

Has to make that catch

Jake looked very scared.

Siri would've had it /ducks lol

What would Castro hit in AAA?  .220?  .250?
I don't know but he needs to be released

This home plate ump needs to go to the minors too

2 minutes ago, Rickylovesweed said:

In the last 30 games, Castro is hitting .108

Is that good?

Well, his average is .100, so for him, yes.

This inning was over close to 10 pitches ago.  Fucking terrible umps in this series.
