Kansas is my sleeper team this year. Return a lot of guys from last year and their head coach (Fitzgerald) is known as a very good JUCO recruiter.

The Hawaiian 2B who hit like .800 against Texas is back. Also added a D2 transfer pitcher who can run it up to 97-98 and will probably be their closer.

My bold prediction is they make a regional.

TCU seems like they should be pretty salty this season.

Also, the newcomers don't really bring much to the table, do they? Houston has fallen off the college baseball map, and they're picked to be the best of the bunch.

OSU loses at SHSU. Sorry, @'stache.

OUsucks goes down

Kansas with a bad loss.

I guess these teams don't like playing in Texas.

And Cincy looks as bad as we predicted.

Tech went up against Tennessee’s ace that had an approximate ERA of.0000024 last year( slightly exaggerated.) We’ll see how it goes against a mere mortal today.

Rebuilt pitching staff for OU looked pretty good this weekend. They brought 3 guys out of the pen who were pumping around 95 with good breaking balls. They have my attention a little bit.

TCU is the opposite. They are fortunate they didn’t drop 2 of 3 to FGCU. All 3 starters got hit around and it was no fluke. 8.1 combined innings with 12 earned runs allowed.

What does "No Contest" mean on the Bryant/ UCF score up above?  Called before 5th Inning was over?

No reason Texas cant win the big 12 this year. TCU looks like the only team with a pulse and we get them at home this year.

Tech and OU definitely have a pulse. OU's top pitching is good.

WIth rain in the forecast the series was changed from Fri-Sun to Friday, Saturday double-header.

The first Saturday game was suspended in the top of the 5th inning due to rain (after a 5 hour rain delay that they did come back from).  The plan was to resume on Sunday.  That did not happen making the first game a non-contest.  The second game was unable to be played and canceled.  I'd assume that Bryant is not going to come back to make it up.

UCF (1-0) plays @ Miami (3-0) today.

OU doesn't even have a CF camera operating for their home game today. The only camera view is from the press box behind home plate. Are we sure they are SEC ready?

They spent all of their money on a new softball stadium and meth.

Perhaps Wright State was expected to bring one with them?

Fuck Baylor, but I give them credit for playing a real schedule so far. Indiana's a good program.

Yeah iirc we played IU 4 games at least (maybe more, did we see them postseason?) and they were more than game.  You could tell they had some guys that could really play.

edit: just looked it up, we played a 3 game set , dropping the rubber match and no postseason

Cincinnati is horrible. It’s a shame they are one of the two teams we don’t play. I also think WVU is pretty bad this year and they are the other team not on the schedule.

Maybe that'll benefit us in the end with RPI

They fucked up Aggy in our regional one year. Pretty sure we then beat IU to move on to a super. Was that the game Shugart saved the day?
