I'd have gone past Webelos if most of these were on the menu.

Who says it's them? She looks a little too broad, and he looks too trim.

Think about making a retired, decorated career naval officer, who flew combat and who also flew into space, go through a uniform inspection after calling him back to active duty,  all because the Secretary of Defense is a fucking idiot who didn’t understand that he was looking at a photo taken in a mirror.

Think about how fucking petty that is, and then things start to make sense.

A master sergeant or chief petty officer needs to cuff this sorry bitch until he cries.

Kash's biggest problem is that he is not white.  Easy to get rid of him.

He looks like he has a 30 watt wire up his ass and he doesn't know the next time Trump might hit the switch.

Interesting timing, just got an out-of-the-blue text from one of our cousins (married into wife's side of the family).  He's military academy-educated, served as an officer, and has worked in defense-adjacent fields for 20+ years (no, I don't know exactly what he does, he can't tell us).  My reply was because his text followed an OLD exchange about, well, dinner.

This cousin has long been a "I know it's bad, but it's not THAT bad" guy.  He's smart as hell, an engineer, and on the conservative end.  He bailed on the GOP a while back, but reluctantly.

Welcome, friend of the republic. Welcome.

As a current Scout leader, I have seen much less of this.  Like any volunteer organization, I suspect it strongly depends on the quality of volunteers in your local unit.  I can truthfully say that amongst our leadership, I'm not entirely sure where everyone stands politically.  Be we all stand together in the focus on our youth.  Going camping, cleaning up parks, and generally having fun while doing good works should not have to be a political act.

I have to say it was more political during the LDS people leaving scouting.   but I mean, people discuss the social issues that led to the Mormon church no longer using BSA as the official youth program in the church.

I take care of a lot of active duty military and I guess what you would call contractors/consultants/whatever. Sometimes they just start telling me things and I will say should I know about this? They usually kind of chuckle and keep talking. I guess they figure HIPAA covers shit like that lol.

This is several days old so I assume it's been posted but just in case. President Dropfoot and his grandson putting on suits to throw the football around and then limp along the Presidential Walk of Shame is something alright.

Can you say ataxia class?

I knew you could!

Republicans want to get rid of car safety features like AEB.

All cars are currently required to have automatic emergency braking by 2027. But that mandate could get tossed under a new plan by Senate Republicans to eliminate certain safety rules, in the interest of making cars more affordable. Also under scrutiny are alarms warning if there’s a child left in the rear seat. Weirdly they’re not targeting expensive creature comforts, like heated steering wheels and wireless charging. Just the safety ones.

Bring back the Pinto for affordability!
