Getting rid of the abomination known as Junction Jack and bringing back Orbit along with ditching the stupid open Star logo and pinstripe and brick unis brought balance back to the Force and set the stage for this Golden Generation. That and ditching Sheriff Blaylock’s nachos and everything associated with the Baylor scum who used to own this team.

I agree. Houston teams don't win shit after changing color schemes. But with that said, the 1994 redesign was pretty damn clean from an objective point of view. Still prefer orange and blue for the Astros but it wasn't that bad as far as those things usually go.

Whattttt that shit was TERRIBLE. Only eclipsed in terrible aesthetic design judgment by the Rockets' Jetson's pajamas.

It wasn't nearly as good as the existing. I'm just saying it was a clean look compared to other new designs, particularly in the "90s.

fair 'nuff, I just get easily triggered with the millennials Astros fans who think that shit was/is cool and retro when the reality is it was always an abomination and should always be treated as such. The blue and gold swooshy shit was always ugly and anathema to the design history of the Astros and should never  be celebrated just because some contingent of Astros fans were 12 when they went to the Dome to see their first game and those were Drayton's first unis. Fuck all that.

Oh I completely agree. But imagine the 1994 redesign was introduced for the first time as our City Connect look this year. We would thank the baseball gods compared to most City Connect designs.
