Ant and Randle struggling and the bench guys going off are not independent of each other. They are playing the best defense in the league and had to pick their poison - and with 21 turns they still scored 126. No shit if Ant also had 30 on top of the role guys Minny wins but that's not how that works. I'm not sure he had an open look from 3 all night.

And on the other end when Chet and JWill are BOTH cooking like that there's not a lot you can do.

Minny beats 28 teams in the league tonight they were just playing the 1 that wasn't going to lose.

Lmao first thing out of Russillo's mouth today "I do believe that OKC is the only team in the league that wins that game last night"

Also a pathetic rebounder

How is that a foul on Hart?  Surely they got the wrong guy and it should be KAT? Right?

Well kat was just standing there and siakim just sat down in front of him I donno. Phantom call.

Yeah, I agree, I just thought if you were gonna call a foul on that play, thinking KAT pulled him down might make some sense.  Hart was barely into the paint when they blew the whistle, not much contact at all.

Every time I see him play, I wonder how he made it to the NBA...and I damn sure wonder what he must be doing in the hands I don't see to make all defense, etc.

Dude is a liability on offense, gets pushed around on the block, so he didn't rebound for jack... Is he some special shit blocker or what?

I'm serious... The only outstanding thing I remember about Gobert is his covid goofiness.

I don't know anything about the team on the other side of the bracket, but to me this Indy team has to be the most difficult team to prepare for.  Literally almost any of the top 5 or 6 can be the star on any given night.  I think it does help the pacers to close it out in 5.  A little rest, and extra time for scouting could be the difference in the finals.

Indiana -OKC would be a great finals. Indy don't give a fuck and just pushes pace the entire time. As great as the thunder defense is, the Pacers just make you play differently. Obviously some work left to do for both squads, but I think the  Pacers will give them a series.

Hali 31/12/15 w 0 turns.

That's masterclass playoff shit but I guarantee you he's not going to get credit for it in the media.

I hope Indy fucks their season up and all of these expert analysts have to eat it.

I'd be surprised if OKC doesn't win the title, though.

hes an advanced metrics demon. and if youre at this point of rudys career thinking he's going to suddenly turn into Hakeem Olajuwon, well thats on you. he still alters decision making at a high level. He's shut down SGA plenty of times this series where he's either had to kick it out, traveled, missed etc. it doesnt show up on stat sheets but he does all of those things well. probably not worht the 40,000,000 hes making but you live with it

tldr if you can get 12-18 pts in a game from rudy, thats a lot of house money

believe it or not, michael wilbon not only picked okc to win it all preseason and has stuck with that, but beyond that he’s been banging the indiana pacers drum for a long time now. wilbon, who’s pretty famous for hating the analytics trend that has everyone seemingly trying to play the same way, has been praising rick carlisle and his offense all year, pointing out how it’s a different look than what teams are used to in the modern nba. people these days mostly think of him (and kornheiser) as just another pair of yelling heads on espn, but they both covered the nba for a long time (still do) and wilbon has been all over this.

Dude chill with the persecution complex in here.

First of all - most of the talking heads have liked OKC all season.

Second - who tf on this board hates on PTI? It still is and always has been a great show.

The thing I can't grasp with Gobert is how bad/weak his hands are. He can't hold the ball for more than a second without fumbling it away and of someone even gets a finger on his shot it's going off the backboard.

It seems like you can work on that.

Haliburton is a damn star.

Fuck Rudy Gobert.

It’s almost assuredly going to be the Pacers, but I’m rooting hard for the East team now. I can’t stand the way the Thunder play, and the Wolves have disappointed me because they can’t beat the Thunder.

Haliburton is shooting them into trouble. Needs to calm down

15 assists and zero turnovers

He can afford to throw up a few heat check bricks

PTI is the only bearable talk show on either sports networks

Yeah. It was just one sequence. He had 2 long three bricks followed by a missed drive fall-away. Besides that 1 minute stretch, he played great.

I believe Bridges hit 2 threes during this stretch also.

It's doubly crazy because they're the biggest attraction within like 300 miles. Unless you count OU football - which I wouldn't right now.

I know the NBA Finals aren't the same as the WCF, OKC isn't Dallas, and I was lucky to pay face, but I dropped $2400 on Game 3 Mavs/Celtics last year. Talked to plenty of people that spent over $8K and $9K.  Hell, if I hadn't bugged my friend for his seats, he was going to list them at $11K each.  I couldn't find anything 200 level or better for under $1500.

I don't know where our tickets are for tomorrow but Stars game 5 was twice that.

I'm guessing we aren't going to be 10 rows back center ice.

LOL and he got a tech at the timeout. He knows he's done.

I will say that's a complete dogshit call on Ant and this OKC team is gay as fuck. I just don't think Indy has enough to beat them. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Also their arena looks like a Nazi rally.

Will be interesting to see how high Minnesota will go to keep Naz Reid, who will undoubtedly decline his player option this summer.

Let Randle walk if he declines the option.

I mean, they really can't afford to pay through the nose to keep him, but they also can't afford NOT to either.

NAW is also a FA and he's had some moments this playoff.

Minnesota really needs Shannon and Dillingham to turn into consistent NBA players.

Everyone but Ant and McDaniels is expendable.

Naz has largely been a bum this playoffs. He's been a total disaster tonight and it's not even halftime. I'd let him walk.

Rudy probably isn't going anywhere but I'm not sure he's even one of their main problems.

Mainly I think they need a new head coach and some fresh faces. Ant is him. You have to do everything you can to make it work around him.
