Someone who knows more than me, what the fuck Edmonton? Did they spend it all on Dallas? Credit Fla, good snatch and all, but what a dud,  mess in goal and no legs.

I figured it would be Florida in 5.  Edmonton is a one guy(ok maybe 2) team.  Florida knows how to counter pressure(while putting on pressure as well) and Edmonton's tactics.  They've taken McDavid out of the series pretty good.  Dallas had no chance of doing that, they don't have the athletes to stay with Edmonton consistently enough.  Oilers didn't have to worry about counters from Dallas.

Edmonton has certainly played better than I expected.  The goalie switch worked for a game to keep them in it or it was goodnight nurse...plus some serious puck luck for Oil as well.

Edmonton is much more balanced than it has been but, yes, McDavid and Draisaitl are so unbelievably good, it might appear they’re a one or two-man team. Hyman scored 50 goals last year and got hurt for the playoffs against the Stars. He was playing very well when he got hurt.

Florida is just a spectacular team, one that added Marchand and Seth Jones this year — and they’ve been to the top of the mountain. They know what it takes. The Oilers are still learning.

Marchand seems to pretty much the the difference in this series to me

Hard to argue that after he became the first player to score 5+ goals in a Cup Final for two different teams.

Bennett probably gets the Conn Smythe but Marchand might be the Finals MVP (if they had one) after five games.

seriously that tandem may be worse than when the Flyers rolled out Leighton and Boucher in the playoffs. And that Flyers team was at least supposed to have Ray Emery as well, though his hip condition was discovered that same season.

The Oilers should be moving heaven-and-earth to go and get a stud goalie. It's definitely their albatross. I bet Skinner gets lit up pretty good tonight as the Panthers smell blood.

Their defense is also kinda meh, need at least one more dfd capable of top 4 minutes. But if Nashville is rebuilding they need to sell the farm for Saros.

Could I interest them in Matt Dumba?

Edmonton's first reaction to adversity is always bitchassedness.

At the beginning of the series I was neutral, and the first 2 games were awesome. In G3, EDM started their shit. It's been FLA for me since then, and they have some hateable players in their own right.
Fuck Oil.

in hindsight, if we had drawn oil in the 1st round i think we might have advanced

next season if at even strength, injuries, form, i would want to play them 1st

The Stars first 2 rounds were brutal. EDM's first 2 rounds were like practice.
