Yes, the past 17 years they have been because of Saban, and I'm still in wait and see mode with Deboer, but let's not forget that they were in absolute shambles before Saban's arrival. Gene Stallings (yes, a NC in 1992, he resigned in 1996) Mike Dubose was fired after three seasons 1997-2000 (Albert Means haunts him) Dennis Franchione left after two season to coach at aggy from 2001-2002, then resigned I believe for giving inside information to boosters Mike Shula was fired after 6 seasons and had wins vacated lol. They struggled with coaching worse than we did before lucking into Saban. Edited November 9, 2025Nov 9 by William Bludworth

I knew I was missing someone and the name just refused to come to me! Ah, what a time to be alive when he was there, too. Yeah, people tend to forget since Saban was there for so long that those guys wandered the desert for a long, long time. It was a beautiful site. Same with Richt underachieving at Georgia almost yearly.

Not many people know that Mike Price never lost a game at Alabama, then again he never coached a real game, and technically was never really employed by them as he never apparently signed his contract.

Isn't he the one who went to the strip club or is that another one of their amazing coaches? I knew he "coached" there, but I did not know he never lost a game. Pretty amazing and pretty stupid on his part not to sign the contract.

Depends who you believe, if you go by the story about him written in SI the answer is yes. I don't remember all the details, but I seem to recall he went to an event in Florida where all of this supposedly took place. Regardless of what did or did not happen, Price was hired in January 2003 and fired May 2003. He sued Bama and lost because it was reported he had never signed his contract with them. He also sued SI and settled with them. Finished his career as the HC at UTEP and as all Texas fans knows, you can get a hand job in that stadium and no one says shit.

Hey, if Mike Price is stupid enough not to sign a contract, I have no faith he's smart enough to get a handy in those mountains. Only one man, and one man only will be etched into history with that awesome job. I wonder what he's up to today? We know they aren't together.

The way I remember it, he took a stripper back to his hotel room, passed out drunk, she ordered $1000 in room service and maybe some other stuff using the athletic department credit card in his wallet, and bailed out on him. I have always thought it was a little bit like George Costanza meeting the woman on the subway that ended up handcuffing him to the bed and stealing his $8 and the suit he got at Moe Ginsburg.

November 10, 2025Nov 10 I don't even get into who is announcing what games, but I was already lol-ing at this guy building up to the winning td. Like Crocodile Hunter-level narration. Him going full manic Kermit The Frog when it happened? I fucking lost it.

November 14, 2025Nov 14 I truly believe this is going to be the week of chaos everyone is expecting. I just hope we're on the right side of things Edited November 14, 2025Nov 14 by D3zii
November 14, 2025Nov 14 Realistically, does minnesota stand a chance against oregon tonight ? I haven't kept up with either team this year
November 14, 2025Nov 14 Two rare goodies tonight. Clemson - Louisville Oregon - Minny So is this year Dabo's swan song? 4-5 Clemson is...well, let's just say it's worse than having your babysitter give your kids a bath, and that babysitter happens to be Jared from Subway.

If he has any chance of coming up for air, he has to do it. It's a shame for Dabo that he can't hire Tony Elliot back. Man, I thought Clemson might take a step back, but not into a sinkhole in Japan. I "assumed" Klubnik would improve, if nothing else but because he has Wesco, Moore, and Williams to throw to.
November 15, 2025Nov 15 The line of Louisville -2.5 & over/under of 50.5 imply this is supposed to a track meet.
November 15, 2025Nov 15 I can'ttell if Klubnik is bad or the offense as a whole is just bad? That's just what they need- Moore to get hurt. Dude is a stud.

November 15, 2025Nov 15 As a fantasist, I want Texas and Sark to throw stupid money at TJ Moore, Antonio Williams, and Wesco just to see if they (the WR's) would consider it. Wesco for sure doubtful since I think he hates us, but the other two...

That's a touchdown to Moore if Klubnik was faster

Like, he's tier four bad. Clemson can do much, much better. Who is nect year's incumbent starter? Vizzina? Helms? Denson as a tryout? Portal?

That's a touchdown to Moore if Klubnik was faster And we would love Moore. Williams is for sure going pro, that was far more hyperbole than the other two. I don't even think Wesco would consider us for any amount of money. I'm gonna edit this: I'm not sure it would be a smart move for Williams to go pro. He's yet to put up 1k and he only has 2 TDs this season. Last season was his best with 11 TD's and 904 yards, so unless he runs an absurd 40 or whatever dumb shit they do to test athletes, he might be better off returning or portaling elsewhere with an experienced QB since Klubnik is gone after this season. November 15, 2025Nov 15 Man, I really like the Clemson frosh RB. Dude has toughness, talent, and pure anger in his runs.

Dabo is weird, QB is a position where he'll reward Vizz for sticking around, when he should hit the portal. 4 minutes ago, William Bludworth said: Man, I really like the Clemson frosh RB. What a great signing. I don't know really anything about Vizz. I vaguely remember his recruitment for some reason, so I naturally assumed he would be the starter. But Dabo would be Uber stupid to just hand it over without giving the other two a shot, stars next to their names or not. Edited November 15, 2025Nov 15 by William Bludworth
