I didn't read yours yet (will) b/c I didn't want to be swayed by any of your picks).

Give me AQ- Texas, Penn State, ASU, Clemson & Boise State

Notre Dame

Bama, Georgia, Ole Miss

Ohio State, Michigan, Illinois.  A very undeserving Illinois replaces a very undeserving Indiana.

Texas winning it all.  I tried to pick the seeds and brackets last year and it was a fools errand.

Why Ole Miss?

Why Ole Miss?

Because it would be funny.  And I think they can go 10-2 or 9-3 against that schedule as they get all their tough games at home (except Georgia) and I think Florida has too tough a schedule to go better than 8-4 against. I think the SEC gets 4 teams and I hate them slightly less than everyone else to get to 9/10. Somebody has to be that 4th team (I know that didn't happen last year but I think it's almost a guarantee it does this year with how everything is playing out.

Well week 2 should be fun considering Texas, Bama, Clemson and ND all lost.

At least one loss doesn’t kill your chances anymore. But those were teams most people had as playoff bound

IMO, the only way a 9-3 SEC team gets in is if they lose the SEC Championship game.

It’s impossible to lose the SEC Championship Game and be 9-3

i didn't see this last week, but have little bit of proof i am not doing this with week 1 results facotred in here:

SEC: Texas over Bama (obviously i'd change Bama out for someone else knowing what I know now)

BIG: Ohio State over Penn State

ACC: Clemson over Miami

Big 12: Arizona State over Kansas State (another I would change with a couple of not so great data points already in their column)

SEC Playoff Teams: Texas, Bama, Georgia, LSU

BIG Playoff Teams: Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon

ACC Playoff Teams: Clemson, Miami

Big 12 Playoff Team: Arizona State

Independent: Notre Dame

Group of 5: Haven't thought much about it, give me Tulane.

If I could do it over after week 1, I would remove Alabama.  Everyone else I still feel very good about.

TBH, shitty Kentucky team still rings true.

The only thing we learned, or clarified for those who already knew, is that I am an imbecile for thinking Toledo was worth a shit. It’s going to be a long season for Kentucky.

No one except me thinks Tech is winning the Bog 12? Highest rated transfer portal class ever means nothing?

Not with Joey Maguire at the helm.

With the benefit of week one in the books, my picks are:

  • SEC Texas versus LSU, Texas Wins
  • B12 Utah versus Arizona State, Utah Wins
  • ACC FSU versus Clemson, Clemson Wins
  • B1G tOSU versus Penn State, tOSU Wins

Missed this last week. Here are my thoughts once week in.

ACC
- Miami and Clemson are the clear front runners here. Clemson is wildly overrated after an average 2024 that was clouded by the ACC champ win and a playoff appearance but if they make the ACC title game at 10-2, they will probably get in again. Miami still has Cristobal as their HC so they will drop at least one headscratcher. Overall the league is top heavy and the top teams don't all play each other so I see a few teams that should have good records and be sniffing around at large spots. I like Louisville as my dark horse here but FSU's win over Alabama warrants some attention. I have Miami winning the ACC and Clemson and Louisville both getting an at-large

B12
- My pick prior to last weekend would have been Baylor here but watching them get gashed by Auburn has changed that. Utah looks like they are coming back into form. ASU should be solid and BYU is an interesting pick too. TTU was active in the portal but I don't think they landed enough talent to push them to the top of the B12. I think its a one bid league and I'm going with Utah.
B10
- Penn St and Ohio St are automatic for me. I don't trust James Franklin at all but I think their returning experience is too much for me not to pick them. I could see Oregon being a surprise 8-4  and I don't think Michigan's QB will be ready to elevate that team back to the playoff. I think Washington is my third pick here but they looked pretty bad against CSU in week one. Penn St as the auto and Ohio St and UW at-large.

SEC
- Prior to week one, I was going to have Texas, Alabama, LSU, and Georgia all making the playoff but I think Alabama might catch an 8-4. A&M. OU, UF, and Tennessee are all too flawed to reach 10 wins in my opinion but they all can catch someone. I'm going Texas over LSU in the SECCG and Georgia at-large

Indy
- The loss to Miami doesn't help but I don't see them dropping two more games this season. 10-2 ND is going to get in over a 9-3 SEC team or a 10-2 B12 team.

G5
- I'm going to pick Memphis here but I have no conviction behind it.

List in no order
- Miami
- Clemson
- Louisville
- Utah
- Penn St
- Ohio St
- Washington
- Texas
- LSU
- Georgia
- Notre Dame
- Memphis
