Still the right call. We couldn't stop Lendale White and Reggie Bush had done jack shit all night.

White averaged 6.2 yards a carry. Any OC worth a shit gives it to him when you only need 2 yards.

Tush pushes should be way more effective than ours were when you have a guy like Arch in there. They need to teach that shit better asap. There's a reason Philly and Buffalo get a guaranteed 1-2 yards every time against NFL defenses. It's a good playcall and major weapon IF the players are well-coached on it.

Even Tom Brady had like a 90% success rate on QB sneaks and that dude moved like molasses

OSU 47

OSU 45

OSU 9- turnover on downs

Where exactly is the mythical 3 field goals we are making to give us 16 points?

Pssst… bush had a better ypc that night. Overall had 19 touches for 180. A very dumb lateral attempt and highlight td with it.

He’s the only coach with back to back play off runs to the semi’s and has won 25 games the last two years, won a conference title and played for another.  If your biggest gripe is that he lost twice to two national championship level coaches at two programs that are at the top of college football, then go be a UGA or Ohio state fan because outside of those two, there’s only 1 other active coach with a ring on his finger, Dabo… and Sark just waxed him a few months ago.  A lot of people suck against those defenses… it’s why those programs have championships.  We took one to over time and were a missed FG from beating them and we had our chances against Day but fell short.  Sark is right there and I’d rather bet on him than go hire James Franklin or Josh Heupal.  Or maybe you’d like to hire Dan Lanning that got a beat down from Kirby his first year or just got boat raced by Ohio State a few months ago.  If your idea is that there is a long list of coaches that are going to consistently beat those programs, then name them.  Otherwise shut the fuck up because you sound like a dumbass.   The dude has built one of the best defenses in Texas history, has us at the top of of recruiting, is churning out NFL talent, has a stacked roster, and is a few plays away from playing in the national championship.  I sure as fuck believe he can do it.  It took Kirby and Day 7-8 years to win it.  Sark is in year 5 at Texas.  And he didn’t walk into a loaded roster like those two did.

Some of you must have been born yesterday because we’re not that far removed from losing to Kansas at home.   And now we’re bitching that we couldn’t beat Bama, Michigan, and Ohio state all on the road in consecutive years.  Fuck off.

Per some YT video he's 1-8 vs top 6 teams. So right now the guy is James fucking Franklin that this board literally shits on until proven otherwise. Kirby and Day started their careers pre current transfer portal and NIL as well so pointing to those two is fucking stupid logic.

lol, per some YouTube video.  Kirby Smart is the only active coach with a winning record against top 5 opponents.  So you’re not going to find a list of coaches that beats up on top 5 teams.   Kirby and Day have been cheating pre-Nil with stacked rosters and it took them 8 years.  Day was on the verge of being fired a few months ago.  Get out of here comparing Sark vs Franklin, a guy who has what, 1 fucking win against a top 15 team.  If you’re going to shit on Sark for losing to DeBoer, Smart, and Day… then give him credit for winning big games against Bama; Michigan, Clemson, and kicking our rivals asses more times than not.   Oh yeah, he did that taking over a mess of a program.  Here is the list of top college football coaches that are getting calls if a major program opens up.   Please name me who you’d like to hire and who has their program currently in a better state.

Smart

Day

Dabo

DeBoer

Franklin

Lanning

Freeman

Cristobol

M. Riley

Kelly

Heupal

Rhule

L. Riley

Who are you picking from that list that isn’t Smart, Day, or Dabo?  Because you’re bitching about things those other guys haven’t achieved either.

This is not a playcall I would criticize him for. If you got an RB like Lendale White, situations like this are what he's for. Thank God it didn't work out for them, but this is a textbook example of the correct playcall that gave them the highest probability of success.

Cool so we should pump sunshine and be happy about being in the bottom 30 of college football in red zone offense and we should be happy our coach can't seem to be a great OC and HC at the same time? Guess we should just settle!

Jesus you’re a fucking moron.  That entire list just proves that it’s not easy beating top 10 teams.  There are 4 coaches on that list with a winning record.  Day had a losing record until this last game.  Sark just beat the shit out of Dabo, the dude that just lost at home to Kelly, another guy with a terrible record.  Maybe you’d prefer DeBoer that is likely going to get fired at Bama.  Same dude that just got butt fucked by FSU and ou last year.

Just stop man.  I get why most people have you on ignore.  If you can’t enjoy where Texas football is right now and what this program has accomplished, then go be a bandwagon fan for UGA.  When this team is playing in the playoffs again this year, go fucking root for the other team.

The entire sport respects sark and what he has done.  There’s a reason we were preseason #1.  Also a reason why Vegas had tOSU favored to win this game.  It’s because they are a fucking elite team playing at home.  Go settle rooting for aggy.

LOL I should have lower expectations because of where texas was 2010-2021? GTFO here with that bullshit. My expectations of our program are championship level no matter what. Right now Sark isn't championship level.

Again, tell me why the fuck you think Sark should continue to be the playcalling HC of this team when it's quite obvious he can't be a high caliber OC and HC at the same time and the statistics and facts back me up more than your "opinion."

All the list above means is that the teams with the tradition of juggernaut defensive lines tend to win against the other good teams once there's a certain threshold of games played.

Unless you're James Franklin, though his DL's always seemed like more a collection of individual standouts than a great group.  Penn State's inability to win big games is weird.

 Texas Offensive FEI

2024 - 18
2023 - 19
2022 - 17
2021 - 35

Texas Redzone Offense

2024 - 111
2023 - 89
2022 - 13
2021 - 6

For being such an offensive genius and talent increase across the board offensively Sark has not fielded one single fucking FEI top 10 offense meanwhile his DC is carrying his ass in respect to their side of the ball. Especially considering all the NFL skill talent we've had the past two years.

Texas Defensive FEI

2024 - 3
2023 - 6
2022 - 8
2021 - 47

So yes Steve Sarkisian the OC is literally holding this team back from being as great as they can be. He quite simply needs to make the change to a play calling OC.

Worth noting, USC's offensive coordinator in 2005 was Lane Kiffin, so the decision to leave Bush on the bench was likely made by Kiffin and/or Carroll. Sark was the QB coach and Leinart was incredible, especially in the second half.

Found an interesting quote from Michael Huff. If Bush had been in the game, and split wide, Huff likely would have been covering him. Wouldn't have been in position to make the tackle.

Quote

"We hadn't stopped that play all game. I ran in there with my eyes closed and fell into something. I don't blame Pete at all, but if Bush would have been in the game, I probably would have been in the slot or covering him," Huff said.

Baxter off tackle left or arch off guard to the left were both TDs and arch failed to see it and was probably prevented from the audible out of the QB sneak to Baxter off tackle left. Fuck, even a time out would have been a better call.

If you are going to make the qb sneak a critical 4th down and 1 for a TD or for a first down then you need your QB to know how to read it and call back out of it. There were three options and two were a TD and we failed again.

Blame the soph QB but it’s all on sark. His red zone scheme and the execution of it that he trains into the guys is fucking atrocious.

It’s possible a QB, with one of the most famous names in all of sports, unwarranted talk of being the heisman favorite, and competing in his first road game as “the man”, in one of the toughest environments (OSU, defending national champions, #2 ranked, etc.), had a significant amount of pressure on him…. You think?

I’d venture to guess none of us can imagine that kind of pressure and expectation. Fuck, most of us are obviously nervous as hell just watching a game, much less actually being largely responsible for its outcome.

Arch was bad yesterday, but anyone ready to write him or Sark off following this situation is an absolute idiot. Let’s see how he handles the shitty fans and media dogging him until he plays another worthy opponent. Then we’ll find out what he’s truly made of.

Bla bla all the excuses don't explain the dog sh!t 4th and goal QB sneak call. Sark cannot call plays in the clutch. Hell even John Macovik could dial a trick or 4th down and that's a low bar.... what's Sarks excuse?
