I forgot about Cam. True. He put the team on his back too. Just not as gracefully as the other two. Maybe is was harder to be shifty with all that money stuffed in his pockets.

No one is shitting on Arch at this point or much at all since he turned the corner. You can’t just ignore the fact that he was pretty terrible at the throwing part of being a quarterback at the start of the season. Game planning is tough when your quarterback is throwing errant passes left and right. Also dumb ass shit off-season crap to argue about at this point.

Yo, it's Surly and it's the off season. Arguing dumb shit in the margins is what we do here, you know this man!

We're both happy now, and Arch curb stomped the winningest program in college football in a well watched bowl game. That's good for portal needs, recruiting and our souls, so in a rare moment of kumbaya let's hold hands and be friends.

Arch is good. The team just had a nice win over a blueblood. We got to watch A&M, OU, and Tech all flame out of the CFP. Plus Ohio State and Georgia are out.

Good times in Austin.

I did respond to you. Probably because I find you to be the most reasonable, logical, and approachable of the ones I saw doing it. I would surely not approach the one that shall not be named. Lol.

You really shouldn't be sharing these thoughts about me publicly. It's really going to diminish your respect on this board from others.

Respect and this board aren’t in the same universe.

Hopefully somebody will make a recording matching Craig Way’s broadcast to the game that would be awesome.

You can replay Craig's game calls on the Texas sports app. Go to media and then play past events. Great way to run errands, walk the dog, work out, etc.

Craig Way... #2 in my ears, but that's only because I grew up listening to Kern Tips.

first time being on a Texas board? Current players get compared to past players all the time even if they’re not remotely similar.

I dont know what you mean, but on his 60 yard TD run, I thought Arch looked remarkably identical to Jamaal Charles.

Cheez-It needs to grab a screenshot and use it on the boxes for the upcoming production run.

Wally Pryor for me, but Craig Way and Kern Tips excel(led) at adding color.

Craig's call on the 60-yard Arch keeper. Granted, it's not as good as super smart Mark Jones' call of "Chattel! Real estate!" and then 20 seconds of silence, but it's pretty good nonetheless

I fucking love Craig so much. He calls it like I feel it. I can't understand why anyone that pulls for Texas feels differently.

Yessir. I was at that one, cold and wet. Pretty much my all-time favorite aggy choke. Near as I could tell, that ag who had the interception was trying to lateral it when he got wrapped up... all he had to do was go down and commence to savor the win. Perfection in every way.

I said it was a feeling similar to his time here. I did NOT say he was VY. I think it perfectly reasonable to acknowledge that for the first time in 20 fucking years I had absolute and complete confidence in a QB to win a game. Yes, sometime I felt it with Colt, hell even some with James Brown. However, that feeling of confidence has been missing for 2 decades. I'm not saying he is VY, but it's nice to actually feel that level of confidence. So to sooth your concerns let me help. Unlike VY who I knew would overcome the issues of MB and GDGD. I said so to a friend post game after beating Michigan in the Rose Bowl. Unfortunately, I do NOT believe Arch can overcome the ineptitude that is The Sarkisian Effect for an entire season. I hope I'm wrong.

Feel better now?

You need to accept the fact that Sark is a good coach.

Bro, that wasn't just directed at you. I've been seeing a lot of that and it's a little irresponsible considering I think VY is the greatest college QB to ever lace them up. That dude was superman out there. Closest comparison to that was Vick almost willing VTech past Florida State.

In fairness, the Vince Young you remember is what Arch will be next year, timeline-wise. 2004 RS SO Vince (2025 Arch comp) got shutout by OU and barely snuck by Kansas. Next year is the season for Arch. We'll see if he turns into superman or not. I'm not saying he will be, but it's not outside the realm of possibility. Dude has every tool to go all the way.

Listen dude. I don't know if you are old enough or not so I am going to remind you. In 2005 Vince Young Led the team in rushing with over 1000 yards at 7 yards a carry as a QB and led the team in rushing TDs with 12. He also threw for over 3000 yards as well at 65% with 26 TDs. All while playing for Greg Davis. I said that to say there was nothing sophisticated about our offense. Sark's offense has layups built into it. VY's offense, everyone knew what was coming and still couldn't stop it. When we stopped fucking with him and just let him eat, he was absolutely unstoppable. Literally.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Thanks for the laugh. I was around for VY, and for Simms/Applewhite, and for Brown, and for Morentz, and for Peter the Great. I know just how good VY was. He's my favorite Longhorn ever. I've met him. All I am trying to say is that as of the 2004 season, Vince Young was not the player you are referencing or remembering. He was not the inevitable machine that he was in 2005. Lord knows if Arch will get there, but his trajectory is favorable and he has all the tools. Hopefully he'll keep growing.

That's all I was trying to interject. Carry on.

You never know how old people are here. I mean it's a message board, so you would assume people are ancient but there are some who were too young to really be able to process what they were seeing.

Seems like a good spot for a Fuck Jeff Fisher

I almost forgot about that. 😂

Did I miss it or is this bowl game not really getting talked about much and somewhat ignored in favor of the cfp?
