As Purdue grads, we have seen our fair share of “this team is going to do it! This year is the year” Mostly in basketball, but there was a decade of recent “great” Purdue football under Joe Tiller. The vitriol between Purdue and Indiana is lower key than OU or Aggy for Texas. It exists, but you don’t have IU or Purdue guys flexing at parties, etc. or whooping (or whatever) at weddings, funerals, or church events. That said, we do have the following:What do Purdue and Indiana students have in common? They all applied to Purdue.AndWhat do Indiana grads say to Purdue grads? “Would you like to biggie size that?”I’d love to see IU win it all.My father has an endowed scholarship in his favorite biz professors name. He still doesnt believe it is real. He could be in the presidents box but is the type that just wants to watch it at home with dachsunds. IU people are cool and deserve this. He has supported Texas and our success over all the years. Edited 16 hours ago16 hr by FiveStarTake
16 hours ago16 hr This is the eerily similar to KSU season where they were one play away from the National Championship game in 98. we will see how this one ends.

"I’d like to thank whatever cosmic forces or machinations conspired to allow me to play well today. Depending on your point of view, that might be called providence, probability, or simply the long shadow cast by every choice made before this moment. Spinoza would say I could not have acted otherwise, that this game unfolded with the same necessity as a stone falling toward the earth. Aristotle might counter that excellence is a habit, earned slowly, one practice and one mistake at a time. Nietzsche would probably laugh at both of them and tell me this was will, repetition, and love of the struggle itself. Me? I dunno. I'm going to Disneyland."

15 hours ago15 hr Indiana is like a tunnel-boring machine: relentlessly grinding forward. Hard to see them losing to Oregon or GA.

This was after the game was over on the set of MNF when they invite the players up there.

14 hours ago14 hr I’m glad most of us aren’t SEC pumpers, because this bowl season has been rough for the Aggies and the like.
14 hours ago14 hr I live near Pasadena and one of my best friends who went to IU texts me late last night saying the casuals and scalpers are dumping tickets because of the rain forecast. I grabbed 2 in good seats for well under $100 and went today. It was glorious. I’m all in on an IU national championship. Would be the craziest story line in cfb history.

7 hours ago7 hr Notre Dame would’ve put up more of a fight. Bama had no business being in the playoff. We can debate the former, I think the latter is indisputable.

Even Hal Moore prayed for victory and protection for his troops in his own way.We were SoldiersIIRC, there was a TEXAS/blou game coming down to the end and we lined up for an FG to win. Kick was up and heading wide right and the wind stirred and pushed the ball just inside the right upright and it was good. Seems to me someone said, "it was the hand of God helping us win because he knows he goofed with Oklahoma". Praise the Lord!
