Anyone who decides to put the future of their intercollegiate athletic programs in the hands of Deion Sanders deserves what they have coming.  High school kids in Dallas will testify.

I wonder what it feels like to go from the sideline with 49 to the other with 0. Walk out of the stadium and think “if I’m a receiver I should be on the receiving end of that cheek clapping”

When he entered the portal I said once a Longhorn always a Longhorn especially since he got caught up in the numbers. I should have prefaced it by not if you transfer to OU, aggy or pig. Fuck him!

    I believe so.

If his name was Steve Jones, he’d have been a lightly recruited 3 star JAG.

She’s a Speak to the Manager Karen who spends much of her day twatting about shit, with the subtext being her son wasn’t getting a fair shake in Austin. Or, Reason #4728736 why social media sucks.

Lol at people predicting 6 wins next year in the Deion thread. I don’t care how much of that was bread you aren’t adding 5 wins in one offseason with that much turnover.

    Yes, fuck him.

What's the story with his mom?

Just that she is very vocal and tweets to parents of athletes, sometimes complaining about her son's lack of playing time and unfair treatment. And all criticisms of his lack of playing time show disrespect.

The Story of Brenen Thompson's Mom

'Twas a dark and stormy night

    Brenen Thompson's mom had Brenen

    Why Brenen and not Brennen?

The other "n" slipped through their stone hands

Brenen's mom complained; he transferred to OU sucks

    They both sucked ever after

    The End

Most of them aren't bad. There are a few that are. The volume of tweets is a big issue. The audience is a little bit of an issue as well. Overall, I don't think she was a big problem.

Now that he is at OU, I think it is irrelevant to Texas anyway. She may taunt Texas if he performs at OU, but I think more likely that she will have the same complaints regarding OU that she had with Texas.

She seems to care more about track than football and he seems to care more about track than football. She thinks he can do both. That may be true, but I think it dramatically slows down his progress in football. I think he is still at least a year away from competing.

Blew out each knee in consecutive years before getting back on the field last year. I am curious if we kick the tires on him.

Without Ukwu, the Dukes’ defense is without its most visible leader on the field. The seventh-year player served as a de facto spokesman for the defense last fall, speaking with the media after the Dukes’ first loss at Georgia Southern and was made available for interview often.

Pretty sure Bama's new OC came from ND too. Maybe even recruited Buchner to ND originally.

Always thought Burton was overrated.  My son went up against him, he wasn't all that.  Already passed up by 3 freshmen in year 2.

No thanks on Burton. They're fine letting him walk for a reason.

Regarding Buchner, while he may know Rees' offense, that isn't saying a whole lot. It honestly looks like Nick Saban thinks he can just will shit to happen in college football because he's had his way with the sport for more than a decade. Go back to 3 yards and a cloud of dust and win titles? Sure, sure. Whine about NIL and the portal and make them go away by publicly pleading for the old days? You betcha! Get to add Vandy to your list of permanent rivals? Of course, of course.

Everyone is giving him the benefit of the doubt, too. I get it, but let's see how this bold strategy plays out.
