  1. Past hour
  2. The Cowboys use to have the best uniforms in the league during the Landry years. Then along comes jerry and he ruins them.
  3. Granted I’m pretty jaded, but it can pretty much only be that. Something that truly horrific might drop his poll numbers to 35%. Might make midterms close, as well as his third term attempt.
  4. Pretty? Not always. Three points? Yes.
  5. It’s easier than that. “Don’t look left or right, look up” and show the rice video perpetually.
  6. Well now everyone knows the cost to win a National Championship. The NCAA is such a worthless organization.
  7. This may be a hot and unexpected take from me but it was appropriate in 2000 to take a pragmatic but firm and principled approach to Putin to see what could be accomplished. And in some ways this happened, Putin did attempt to make a half-hearted pivot West and position Russia as a GWOT partner and we did get stuff out of it. A lot of people forget how key the Russia facilitated Northern Distribution Network was to sustaining operations in Afghanistan all the way through the mid-teens. It was never on the table for him to be a democrat. What happened is that we fell down on the “pragmatic and firm” part in a lot of ways and Putin cannily exploited us by trying to make everything purely an issue of pragmatism. We also scored some own goals by blundering into foreign adventures where Russia could make itself either helpful or harmful at relatively low cost (Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iraq fallout). But even worse we had a bipartisan series of leaders who allowed him to do what he does everywhere: turn Russia relations into a political issue instead of a national security issue. Russia and how the United States relates to it have been important campaign issues since 2012, with the GOP and Dems switching sides based on how Putin wanted them to. And even before that, we had the very stupid and political reset button whipped out by HRC for a photo-op with Lavrov; thus forcing Obama into either an admission of failure or to keep fucking the chicken long past the point of enjoyment. This was an own goal long after GWB came around to McCain’s view; and then in 2012 you had Obama gleefully pretending like Russia was still a potential partner. This is all incredibly stupid. Russia should never be an issue in American elections; Russia is a solved but difficult problem that we keep trying to find different solutions for. Only Putin wins when Russia takes up this much oxygen in internal political discussions and its truly a grand strategic masterclass that he has put on by keeping a declining and brittle Russia on the front burner.
  8. I don't really know where to put this, so I'll put it here. Some of you know Rich Brotherton, and many more have seen and heard him as Robert Earl Keen's trusty guitarist for decades. He retired from Robert's band a few years back. He has actually posted on UT boards in the past. Well, he has some bad news. He has been diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). I'm nowhere near his closest friend but we've known each other for years, recorded together, swapped gear, etc. and I can confidently say this sucks ass and that he is one of the most gifted, kind and humble musicians in Austin. He seems to be doing OK so far, but we all know where that disease goes. I'll let him speak to the details from his Facebook post.
  9. I think Gibson is a situational back who needs to prove ball security and then can be more of a change of pace back for the game. I don't think you are understanding what Gerry was saying about him.
  10. 12 game winning streak coming up.
  11. They’re dying out. They closed the 1604 location. I’d always stop on the drive to Midland because it’s on the way. Your order is top notch. I basically order that or pork chops and eggs every time.
  12. No idea what we’ll ultimately run in that game, but I don’t see why going heavily with 12 wouldn’t be on the table
  13. Unfortunately the fecund paramecia in their lizard brains mutated in 2016 and they learned to vote
  14. Gray & Sam dead, Boushley & Freeman back.
  15. I have some more from the NYC trip from a little over a week ago. 1. Jersey City from the 81st floor of World Trade Center building; as are the next three. 2. Brooklyn Bridge 3. The footprint of one of the former towers 4. Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island 5. Central Park from the 24th floor terrace at the New York Athletic Club 6. My view of town as I head back to New Jersey on the ferry to Weehawken. That crazy looking building is actually a movie theater, among other things. It's at about 58th Street, or 57th.
  16. Ha. No, not me. I actually took that when a I ran to grab a beer. I was row 27 center. Love that they did an Eras show though. They’re always mixing it up.
  17. While she’s smoke, Alyssa Lang doesn’t do hyperbole well. Every segment with her was pretty lady says ridiculous things.
  18. You might have missed it while typing out an essay
  19. At this point it's far worse than that. Putin has to have gotten his hands on Epstein video of trump balls deep in multiple 9 yr olds over the years.
  20. That's pretty good. Why in the world didn't the entire Democrat machine immediately do a blitz of Big Beautiful Betrayal on news shows, social media, etc. They could have accompanied this nice, tight slogan with the specific examples of how Americans are being hurt by it, and they could also be pointing out bs policies like the sunsetting of policies like the senior citizen extra deductions. Here's a radical idea, that I admit is half-baked and not fully thought thru. Since the Republicans abandoned their entire mantra of "less government" in favor of "my government that tells you what to do", why can't the Democrats not only call that out more often, but also better embrace "fiscal responsbility", rather than hiding from it? I know many in the party want to spend a lot more and tax a lot more, but that is what scares a lot of potential voters. Democrats end up closing the gap on previous Republican deficits anyway, so start really focusing on the proper combination of spendingr and taxation as the proper path to fiscal responsibility. If they did that, then they could really blow up the Big Beautiful Betrayal and show Americans how damaging it really is, and lay the foundation for good mid-term elections. As it stands right now, the mid-terms won't be helpful at all and we will be stuck for two more years (or a lifetime?) with this dictatorship.
  21. I mean it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out 90% of them lol
  22. The Boys start winning again like they did when they were called Cowboy Tom and the Dude Wranglers and yinz won’t give a shit what kind of uniforms they wear.
  23. Looked rusty, got the win, let’s go
