  1. Past hour
  2. I'd take Freese over Steffen. I just can't trust Steffen. This is what we need from a CB. This kid is slowly winning me over and slowly becoming less of a liability his position. That he is homegrown makes it better, imo. We should always have at least one AMERICAN American CB. Shit like that matters. Your grammar here is consistently trash. It was trash throughout the comment that I just quoted. I like you as a poster but miss us with calling out Chris Richards' "grammar". We fucking need that kid to step up next year. He needs all the support, karma, juju - whatever the hell we can give him.
  3. Bump for tonight. 8 & 11p on Nat Geo if you care to DVR it that way.
  4. To be fair, a lot of her rebounds are mebounds. It’s not just Angel. She’s the poster child of WNBA players expecting to be respected (and probably think they should be paid) as much as male pro athletes and most of them have ugly game.
  5. I only need to start with the city I was born & raised in… DALLAS, TX to crush that “universal theory”. Honorable mentions… 1) In West Philadelphia born and raised On the playground is where I spent most of my days Chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin’ all cool And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school When a couple of guys who were up to no good Started making trouble in my neighborhood I got in one little fight and my mom got scared She said 'You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air' 2a) Upper East Side v Upper West Side (Manhattan) 2b) West Village v East Village (Manhattan)
  6. Dude - I don't draft the CBA or negotiate media deals or set the cap. That 70 figure kicks in in 2028. If you think Book isnt worth the max number - for Phoenix, especially - then I can't help you.
  7. His grammar wasn’t perfect and his “natural born Americans” was a bit ignorant, but he sounds like a good human being. Guess that if your a journalist that covers a subject that most of the country doesn’t care about, you try to stir shit up so that people read your work/ listen to what you have to say, to “educate” themselves. It must be upsetting to have the team captain pour water on your whining attempt to draw attention to the subject you cover. If the USMNT filled the stands with supporters for every game, year-after-year, then the tournaments would have to be moved around.
  8. "He made major mistakes in a 34-27 victory over [who gaf]." The NFL and NFL media's attitude to VY summed up in a single sentence, IMO
  9. are you willing to fight the FAA?
  10. I mean... ever for you, dude
  11. Shit. I don't know. This may be his masterpiece. I hit send before the end of credits scene. Steinfeld with the lollipop does something to a man (and it isn't just that). Maybe a 9? I think I'm going to watch it again right now. I rarely do this - I remember doing it with Drive.
  12. Tape shows he’s got strong hands.
  13. Quoting you in this thread. See above. @West Kerr Horn We'll get people ready when you need people to come in and clean up.
  14. That’s lower head over upper head.
  15. Football. Losers. Wake up and smell the coffee.
  16. “I don’t know what I expected.”
  17. Have you all read the Anthropic article on LLMs blackmailing the people that control them when faced with being shut down? https://www.theregister.com/2025/06/25/anthropic_ai_blackmail_study/
  18. He was a fun Twitter follow pre-COVID, but he had some really extreme and stupid opinions about it and his feed eventually grew too tiresome to continue tolerating.
  19. Thoughts after my 2nd watch: The first part - 40 mins or so - before they get to the night at the juke joint is probably my favorite part of the film. It's masterful filmmaking with the world-building and character introductions and cinematography and dialogue. Frankly I think the setting is just prettier and it makes for more aesthetically pleasing shots. It's still very good and very fun after that. I also think it lags a bit in the middle - the pacing isn't particularly good for awhile. The last 30 minutes are pretty powerhouse. It's overall extremely brilliant but a little messy. This is the best thing Coogler has done by far but I think he has something better in him. I also don't understand the political bitching about the film - I probably need a couple more watches to sus out what exactly the societal commentary is but I know for a fact that it's more complex than "white people are the devil". e.g. the white - lead - vampire is Irish and talks about his own persecutions and struggles. They also include a couple of phenomenal songs sung by him and his crew. There is also a lot of black people fucking other black people over throughout. It isn't "black vs. white" and even if it was who gives a shit - it's a great film. 8/10. Very fun and unique. This will be in my rotation for a long, long time and the type of film that I insist that people that haven't seen it watch. We need more movies like this.
  20. They try so hard to overplay their hand, and they still win. Stunning.
  21. Seal Team Surly. Fantastic.
  22. Fixed it for me
  23. Stealing salary? 🤨 A. I would argue just working for Elon is worth the pay. B. Frankly, he was forking it over just to have a CEO that wasn't him, even if INO. C. She ran cover for him over that 2 years. D. As much as this stint has destroyed her rep, she's earned her pay. Don't get me wrong, do I think she is dumb for ever taking that job? Yes. Do I think it cost her a hell of a lot more than she made? Yes. But do I think she was overpaid or didn't earn that money? No.
  24. Aaron Boone said DJ LeMahieu was willing to begin working at 3B again, but the position had been too physically demanding for him. There were lengthy discussions yesterday and today between LeMahieu, Boone and Brian Cashman. LeMahieu didn’t ask for his release and is not happy with the outcome.
