  1. Past hour
  2. I was straight up photosensitive for a day or so after my infusions. I could spend as little as just a few minutes in direct sunlight and would burn. I think I even got sun poisoning one time. Do not recommend. I started wearing hooded sun shirts to leave my appointments.
  3. unfortunately when coached by Ex-QBs there’s this “I’m smarter than everyone else” complex. It’s why championship coaches are frequently ex defensive players or ex offensive linemen. They heavily understand the importance of assignment laden and fundamental football. Where the QB tends to lean towards “I can outsmart or out scheme our deficiencies.” It rarely ever works. Football will always be about trench warfare. It’s why Big 12 teams would frequently get smacked when facing upper echelon SEC teams in the past.
  4. Haven't seen much of the team this year, but if it's true that Arch is just missing wide open receivers and throwing the ball at their feat against UTEP, that's a massive red flag. You can explain away a poor performance in the horseshoe, but a guy in his 3rd year on campus should not be this bad against UTEP. If every other qb on the roster is really 10-straight-incompletions-against-UTEP bad then Sark is stealing money from the University. I don't want to believe Sark is actually that incompetent, so I have to assume he's being stubborn leaving Arch out there. If the defense is still elite then I say we roll with Caldwell and hope he can be an average, functional, college qb. Can't let Arch dick around against another cupcake and then try to throw someone else into the fire in conference play if Arch sucks it up again. Beat OU, Arky, and Aggy and ideally don't lose to anyone except Georgia and I'd consider this season a success at this point, because based on what I've heard, I'm fearing a 2010 level collapse.
  5. he needs to wear a garter belt under his uniform like tim robbins in bull durham
  6. I used to do this whenever Destiny would have a new DLC launch, was some good times. I plan on doing this whenever GTA6 or a new Fallout launches.
  7. i tried the documentary series on the women who got duped by men into giving them all of their money, but it was just like, “i started dating this guy and he said he was a millionaire but then he was always asking me for money so i gave him my life savings and then he stopped answering my calls.” like huh? what the hell is wrong with you? anyway, after i bailed on that i watched the three part ashley madison series. it was aight. it wasn’t bad or anything, but not a lot of revelatory stuff there, other than the fact that apparently millions of people will subscribe to youtube channels to watch other adults lip sync disney songs. 🤷🏼‍♂️

  9. That is essentially what we are reduced to hoping for….that he does have the physical skills and mental ability to be serviceable, and that he need to (and can) catch up with the speed of the game. FML…
  10. I had to be out of the sun when I was doing Oxaliplatin. Really sucked but it’s alright and was temporary.
  11. So I was fully on board and gave Sark the benefit of doubt after issues last year and the first two games of this year…. Because frankly, he had earned the benefit of doubt with where he has taken our program. With that said, I’ve done a 180. I’ve watched every Longhorn game for 20+ years. Like many of you, I’ve watched what a bad offense is. This is a very bad offense. One of the worst I’ve seen and we lived through the Gilbert, Swoopes, Heard, Case McCoy era. We don’t run the ball well, we don’t pass the ball well, we don’t block well, we are penalty prone, we have no creativity on offense, we turn the ball over, we cannot convert 3rd/4th and short, we lack any identity, and we don’t display any confidence when playing. This is not a quick fix. I fully expect every game to be a dog fight. Watching last night’s press conference I think it’s also hitting Sark that he’s going to have to hit the panic button and revamp our offensive philosophy and game plan. We need to be a poor version of Michigan 2 years ago. Basically run the ball, bleed clock, take the points in anyway we can, punt the ball and try to pin teams deep and completely pray that our defense can hold teams 14 or less. We are definitely the worst offense in the SEC and arguably power 4 teams. Absolutely embarrassing. Longterm, it’s year 5 and this is the shit sandwich we are in. This offense is worse than what was handed to sark when he got here. He needs an OC and he needs to be the HC and focus on how to better the team rather than trying to put together a game plan between all his other responsibilities. I’ve also seen enough from Arch to know that dude is mentally weak and that never changes. You either have “it” or you don’t. Find him a landing spot at another program and move on after this season. This roster is too talented for the shit we’re seeing. I wasn’t expecting us to be as good as last year but I really don’t see how we are going to beat UF, UGA, ou, Arkansas, Aggy. Hell, I think Vandy waxes us if this is what we display on Saturdays. Forget playoffs. Let’s just try to get to 8 wins. That would be an accomplishment. With that said. Entire coaching staff outside of defense gets a fucking F for their offseason coaching. Which unit looks good on offense? None of them. These dudes have 2 seasons of success and maybe decided that recruiting 5 stars meant they could coast. What a waste of an elite defense.
  12. Gerry said this morning that this is catching everyone in the building by surprise, and it is not what they saw in practice throughout the spring and fall.
  13. Oops https://www.mediaite.com/media/news/trump-attack-on-fed-honcho-smacked-down-by-bombshell-receipts-from-reuters/
  14. I saw him on the field early. He had a pressure on Nelson on 3rd down when UTEP was backed up in their own end zone. Didn't see him much in the second half.
  15. Imagine proposing this back in June or whenever it was we brought in Caldwell. I read Nahlin swearing a couple of times that Manning didn't look like this in fall camp. It's really hard to imagine, with our offense going up against that defense every day in practice.
  16. I also don’t want to live in a state where people lose their jobs over mean or innocuous social media posting. I opted out of social media (other than here) a few years ago but it’s crazy to me the benign things that are getting people in trouble.
  17. "Being fired for their beliefs" is a weasel word way to conflate then and now. Biden firing people for saying "COVID isn't real" is not in the same solar system as "Kirk supported what happened to Kirk". There are beliefs that are actually WRONG and dangerous to hold in a leadership position. If you dEePlY bElIeVe that injecting yourself with bleach is a cure for COVID, should you be allowed to hold a public health related office? I think "cancelling" is bullshit in general and used as a false grievance by shithead culture warriors. Shane Gillis was cancelled? Suuuuuure lol
  18. Gracias. Second stupid question: I know Simmons had an elbow brace on before the game. texassports lists him as a starter but with zero stats. Did he play at all? In my defense, I had one eye on the game, one on the food I was preparing for family and several guests, and one eye on my beer(s). That's right, 3 eyes.
  19. Maybe we need to just start poaching experienced QBs with good numbers at other schools.
  20. Brisketexan

    Austin FC

Yep. They were discombobulated from the opening whistle. And they have real, consistent “maintaining possession” problems. They can’t maintain a passing sequence to save their lives. I don’t mind playing a decent match and ending up on the short end. I do mind playing sloppy, stupid soccer, and that is their brand these days.
